Any Nepalese hatta katta man wanting to take a hit-man's job, please meet me in the chatroom after 3pm everyday.

This is serious! I need to get rid of someone and FAST!!

Hatta Katta man?

For a sniper's job, even a Loore is enough. You need a sharpshooter or a
wrestler? Please,be nice to your poor victim, and do the job 'humanely'.

And there are limits to what you should post on the internet without having it haunt you afterwards.

I think this girls is losing thier mind. It is very annoying and unacceptable to see her fooling around like this.

and anyways, whats wrong with criticising a freak who's just posted an ad for a hitman! it could very well be a police case. And for the record, the conversation could very well take a different direction...
but then again looks like this girl's in dire need for attention..so be it! im letting her enjoy!

since nk cannot script anything remotely resembling a credible tip to the feds, try this:

FBI: How may I help you, Sir/M'am?

TIPSTER: First, please understand that I wish to remain anonymous. I frequent a Nepali Web site called sajha.com, which is moderated by San[provides San's complete name and contact information]; I recently came across a thread [provides thread subject line, screen name of originator, time/date posted, and other relevant details] soliciting murder for hire and stating that the person soliciting, specifically, a Nepali hitman is serious.

FBI: Have you contacted state and local authorities with this information?

TIPSTER: Yes, I have contacted [insert specific details of agencies and individuals contacted, dates/times, and information provided] about this as well.

FBI: I appreciate your bringing this to our attention; while most of these threats turn out to be hoaxes or angry individuals who later come to their senses, I want to assure you that we take every reported threat seriously.

TIPSTER: So, if this turns out not to be serious, but you find out who this person is, can they still be arrested and brought up on charges?

FBI: Oh, yes, definitely.

TIPSTER: But, how can you even trace a message from an unregistered person on that site?

FBI: We have our ways...Thanks again for your call.

Dude, dude, dude:

Lighten up, Krishna, it obviously is meant to be taken as a joke. I can understand your perspective on this particular posting, and I respect that, but it is not accurate. People who come to the chat room will understand that it is just another inside joke one friend pulled on another. Nothing more than that.

Now that's said and done, here's something for ye laddies out there, har har har! (imagine a good ole' Salty in his Cap'n hat and weather beaten blazer talkin' to yer)

10 things people shouldn’t have to tell you

1. Dance lessons are for girls.

2. You can have long hair, you can have a mustache, and you can wear a pink shirt, but not all three at the same time.

3. Eggs, corned-beef hash, and Tabasco sauce is the breakfast of the gods.

4. The Godfather and The Godfather Part II were glorious and magnificent; The Godfather Part III reeked like a burning house made of chicken shit and stuffed with dead dogs.

5. The button on the fly of your boxer shorts is just for show.

6. When smashing a beer can on your forehead, don’t forget to pinch the sides before making contact. Otherwise you’ll end up with an embarrassing “reverse coaster” on your noggin that will outlast the hangover.

7. You flip a steak one time—and one time only.

8. Don’t help a woman knock your pals. Ever.

9. In reality, Godzilla would beat King Kong’s butt six ways to Sunday. No questions, no contest, just a brutal, one-sided hairy-ass-kicking.

10. Protect the testicles.

Oh yes, a bonus one:

If you hurt yourself in the wild, clean your wounds with your urine. When it leaves the body, it’s sterile, which is more than you can say of any water you’re likely to find.

Awrighty mateys! Har har har.

Sangey.
aloo Posted on 13-Mar-02 06:38 PM

There is a time and place for jokes. Hit men and hit women, foreigners from South Asia, jitttery Americans. I doubt the law enforcement dudes would be amused.
anepalikt Posted on 13-Mar-02 08:44 PM

Some things are funny and others not! This is not funny! Knowing that a nepali man here in this country who got jail time for having solitcited a hitman to knock off his nepali wife, for real, makes this "joke" really sick and stupid. Especially the latter. Have you guys no idea about what is going on in this country right now?! I guess it comes down to what you think is funny. Unfortunately, my humor is just not that good or something. I think it is in bad judgement, and bad taste if this is supposed to be a joke.

"Lighten up and what not!" Whatever. Who knew that there is some inside joke going on? Crying wolf is not funny! Ask the little shepherd boy!

Also, did you guys notice the other thread that says that JDV wants a new password? What does that mean? Is it some malicious person wh started this thread under JDV's name to get her in trouble? Or am I being paranoid? and what about the confusion of JDV and Sunakharis posts getting mixed up? What's that about?

Paranoid? Maybe, but in this climate and in this day and age, I would not be making stupid jokes about killing people. Do you know that the internet is basically transparent that what you "say" does not just dissapate into a void and is gone after you put it out there?

Coincidence! That is all you need. Then you will have "evidence" to put someone behind bars!

This country is in an interesting mood folks, if you did not know it already. You better play by the rules or be ready to be kicked out of the game.

My two cents and more..........

And I don't want people telling me to lighten up or whatever.
hmmm.... Posted on 13-Mar-02 09:01 PM

Mildly retarded Kancha Posted on 13-Mar-02 09:05 PM

This is just to uncover the conspiracy. Look at the writing below.

his thread was a troll. And san has lost his reputation. I will have a prove tomorrow, I can prove right now but . I give San, suna and JDV a chance to correct them self. In my opinion Suna and JDV are same person. Hope San does not delete all the logs of past 2 weeks just to save his ass. Then again I am mildly retarded

lol

>
>had to say

>hmmm....
anepalikt Posted on 13-Mar-02 09:26 PM

hmmmmm, what the heck are YOU "hummming" about? You kinda give me the creeps to tell you the truth.

Kancha, we know you are fully retarded! Don't try to play games if that's that you're doing and if YOU had anythign to do with this. Whatever! I just don't want to suddenly have to think that somehow here is something more serious than just doing insider talk. But who knows? I don't really. I mean I hope no one is being malicious and playing a prank exploiting some technical issues that remained unresolved. That combined with just the nature of the first post would make the prank much more insidious.

But if it is some sort of an "insider joke", well, I guess one could argue that I just don't get the humor, or maybe I just think that violence is not funny. I don't think it is funny and tolerable in a public space! The chat room might be private, but what you put out here in the message board speaks only for itself. no one KNOWS you to be able to tell if you are kidding. maybe the few folks you chat get the joke, but sorry to have to admit this, but I don't.

Both scenarious only creep me out! I don't get the humor if that's what it is. And I can't say someone might not be so devious to not try to be Dr.Chaos and try to wreck havoc to show where the weak spots are in this community... technical as well as in teh social fabric.

too deep? too paranoid? too wierd!!

arnico Posted on 13-Mar-02 10:42 PM

I agree with Ujeli, Krishna, and Anepalikt that some things should not be treated as a joke. Planning or talking about carrying out acts of violence is sufficient to get someone to court, and perhaps behind bars, in Nepal, in the US, or in many other countries. Saying afterwards that it was a joke will not help.

JDV, please stay away from unnecessary trouble. Remember that kurakani postings can be hunted down through google searches etc. for years. Keep in mind also, that there might be people out there who know the real name behind your creative pseudonym.

Anepalikt, I am sorry to see how you have been treated; I hope you don't let this deter you from further postings.

hmmm... just a friendly suggestion: if you were really concerned for Anepalikt's wellbeing, why did you post your questions in the open, instead of sending her an e-mail?
hmmm.... Posted on 13-Mar-02 11:00 PM

My posting to anepalikt was a reply to her posting before. If I knew it would follow up like this, I would have never written anything. I did feel I went overboard even with that posting-- shouldn't have done that. I was waiting for a nice rebuttal from anepalikt (the way she writes, she could have belittled me with ease and I would have enjoyed her posting but alas things turned upside-down)

I remember anepalikt's cheerful postings before, she was always nice and was just commenting on her recent postings. Its sad we are loosing few good people of class (anepalikt and hahoo guru) because of some dim-wit morons came from nowhere and swarmmed this site. I agree I have been a moron as well, tara I always have tried to be within this sajha.com framework.

Again, I apologize to anepalikt and all sajha.com. I hope anepalikt comes back.

Mildly Retarded Kancha Posted on 13-Mar-02 11:41 PM

Guys,

As i said before, this shit is a troll. Krishna was right any admin has to post the death threat. But As i said before I starded this thread miss nepal usa. and all these so called "intelectual" feel left out and they devise the scheme to have their opinion and devised some thread but not so intelectual. Coz I am the proff. I starded the thread Miss Nepal USA and more than 50 respondant. And just to test I started another thread NEXT Maoist ATTack , and no reply. But if u read that thread the truth is there and if u read the news these days u will understand what i mean.

I know I only have 6 grade english. I cant write in nepali which i am good at but I will wait for that good Nepali to invent it soon. But did u guys noticed the topics about chicks and dicks lately since the MIss nepal post. My only point was that sex sells and I still feel sorry for the real topic like ASSu post and other good cause for nepal except for those stupid selfish folks for DC. then again I am mildy retarded.
ashu Posted on 14-Mar-02 12:33 AM

I echo Arnico's thoughts.
Well said!!

As for this boast that "chicks and dicks" threads are getting a lot of
responses and are driving out so-called "intellectual" stuff, well,
that's perfectly fine.

Different strokes for different folks!!
And we are all different people with different interests, are we not?

So, yes, let "chicks and dicks" thread too have their day here.

After all, and on a larger sociological level, it's quite conceivable that
starting a series of anonynous threads on "chicks and dicks" is the only way
some of our fellow Nepalis are ever going to get their sexual highjinks, and, if
so, these onanistic souls deserve sympathy and kindness.

I say that because from experience, I remain confident that "chicks and dicks"
threads come and go with flashy effervescence-- like, as IBM's Lou Gersterner remarked in another context -- fireflies before storms.

As psychologists have found out, some of us are gleeful sprinters who burn out fast, and some of us are strategic marathon runners who get going when the
going gets tough.

Finally, thank God that we are all indeed so different, and diverse and there IS -- no matter who says what -- room for all of us here, anytime.

Hi Hmmm,

Yes, unlike you, I'd rather discover the boundaries, if they exist, of freedom of speech through OPEN and ONGOING discussions and debates and kura-kani among us all than by having someone, you or me unilaterallly deciding for all
what those boundaries are through some ukase process.

Having some mooncalf decide the truth for us all is an easy achievment.
But arriving at the truth ourselves through a journey of back-and-foreth
kura-kani is a much more, to me anyway, valuable achievment.

And so, open and no-censorship kura-kani -- an exchange of agreeable and disagreeable and even khattam views, thoughts and ideas -- are powerful tools to discern the truth, even when some of us do/may not like aspects of that truth.

This is why I defend the right of, say, to give you an example, Naresh Karki to post his stuff in the sex usergroup here, even when I do NOT share his
particular interest.

anepalikt will not accept your insincere apology. put yourself in her shoes, if you want to understand why her latest posts have been so negative. the fact is that you and the others have behaved very badly, and she is not one to stand for the type of garbage people like you post. not to worry, she doesn't need your advice to "get out of this"--she has already abandoning this kattam site.
krishna Posted on 14-Mar-02 08:47 AM

one of harvard's many minor sophists, at best. maybe tiwari will argue that this forum should coddle people posting serious threats about harming ashutosh tiwari, his friends, and his family. it's all good, after all. i came up with one the other day, and anepalikt found it funny, too: Ashutoshi, maahaa dukhi. or maybe the personal just a little too political for you. next time you're in boston/cambridge, try taking your schtick down to the Pit, say, around 2am.
hmmm.... Posted on 14-Mar-02 08:49 AM

Krishna, please you get out of this.

How can you say its not sincere. I haven't had any discussion with anepalikt before this. just had been reading. even on this one, i put a small comment-- read above, and thats how it started on my part.

if you are talking about psuedonames, hell you could be the MKV or the BDM.

ARNICO, ANEPALIKT

That was a private joke in retaliation to the one that was started out by JDV posing to be me. (You see we've had this problem for weeks now - the ID switching).
If you thought it was in bad taste so be it.
What I hadn't anticipated was that it would attract and the topic would AGAIN somehow falter towards repressed sexuality!

Some of you guys out here never cease to amaze me. How could you be humans? and NEPALESE on top of it!!

Retraction re-schmaction. "I'm sorry, I was joking, please forgive me" ain't gonna cut it. Accountability WILL be enforced, top-down.

Speaking of which, post-Subash Gurung, I asked what the Nepali community in the U.S. was going to do to police it's own environment, including its members. I proposed three options: do nothing, cooperate fully with local/state/federal authorities, or work within the U.S. Nepali community to ensure that all its members obtain and maintain legal status while staying in the States. To me, the first option is unacceptable, the second option is improbable and largely unverifiable, and the third option (now, more than ever) is inevitable. Given the current political and security situations and persistent terrorist threats in both the U.S. and Nepal, it is not inconceivable that greatly increased scrutiny of the U.S. and Canadian Nepali communities will be initiated.

This forum doesn't deserve anepalikt's or my presence, much less a final "goodbye and good riddance." I want to depart by saying that sajha.com has been hijacked, debased, and permanently discredited (sounds like your country), but it is impolite to speak ill of the dead.

Time and again, there will be morons running around in this world making harder for everyday people to make a living. This is what happening in this forum right now. Just because a couple of morons are trying to highjack this site (as krishna said), good posters like anepalikt should not give it up that easily. We can’t just be fair weather fans. Ki kaso?

Who died and gave this moron, Krishna, the mantle of Sajha.com's stewardship. I am sick and tired of his (and few others) "oh so holier than thou" attitude. As far as I am concerned, Krishna the dimwit should go F#@K himself.

Sajha is at best a forum for infotainment, at worst, a place to throw slurs at each other. Site admin has very little control over it, no one else has any control over it. It is what it is and that's how it is. So don't you go sounding off hot gas from your feudalistic arse about what should be done and what shouldn't be done.

And what's up with that "... this forum does not deserve my presence." Did the forum beg you to bless us with your "presence?" You pathetic "mapai" loser. Your presence my ass.

I agree with you Def. I have always enjoyed reading postings here at Sajha.com. Of course JDV started this thread as some kind of inside joke that was going on between her, NK and Sunakhari. And our sense of humor failed us!!!!! This discussion turned really sour. Although most of agreed that this king of posting was not appropriate, there was definitely no need for some morons to make sexual comments. I should urge anepalikt and Krishna to stick with Sajha.com. For god sake, its them and not you guys that should be getting out of scene here!

This is ridiculous. Its true I pulled a gag on Suna by posting the “Soulmate Wanted” thread. It was done in jest and Suna took it like a trooper – with a laugh and a shrug. She then retaliated by starting this thread and as far as I’m concerned, knowing me as well as she does and knowing what’s going on in my life, I saw absolutely nothing wrong with her actions. In fact, if anything, it made me laugh, as you can well see by the statements I’ve made above. Someone pointed out in a posting above that this was the worst time Suna could’ve written this thread (something to do with some nepali guy taking out a contract on his wife), and though neither Suna nor I need to defend our actions to anyone, let me just point out that we were both oblivious to that particular incident. It’s nothing more than a mere coincidence that this thread was started at this time.

Obviously many of you feel this thread was inappropriate and smacked of callousness, and you’re more than welcome to voice your opinions on it. Should anyone feel the need to inform the FBI about this posting, you’re more than welcome to. Suna and I appreciate your concern, but if the FBI does indeed decide to investigate this and press charges against us, wouldn’t you say that’s our problem? I should however, mention that that your concern touches us deeply. However, the next time you all decide to pounce on anyone, perhaps you need to take a step back and think of all scenarios that could’ve possibly led to the matter at hand. I don’t suppose it ever struck anyone that Suna knew I needed a little levity because I was being stalked? Not to say or confirm that I am being stalked but that could be a possibility couldn’t it? And yes, not everyone’s sense of humor is the same. It made Suna and I laugh and it made things a little lighter for me, and that’s all that matters to us. What holds true for jokes you don’t find funny, also holds true for postings, you just shake your head at the banality of it and move on. But obviously this thread incensed you so much that you couldn’t let it just slide by. Which is fine with Suna and I, you’re entitled to your opinion, we’re entitled to ours.

If anepalikt chooses to have a hissy fit and abandon this website because of our prank, so be it, that’s her choice. I’m not about to lose sleepless nights over it.

Again, now that all is said and done, shall we move on?

JDV -

Nepalikt did NOT have a "hissy fit" and leave this site because of your prank. Wonder how YOU would react if some of the recent postings (now deleted) were aimed at you.

As a Nepali male, I am disgusted and ashamed that there are Nepali men who can use such language against another person. I feel sorry for the woman who gave birth to such a man.
sparsha Posted on 14-Mar-02 11:22 AM

We are not living in THE perfect world. We all think and act differently. We become or feel closer with others only to the extent our similarity of thought or action lead. According to the establsihed but dynamic legal or otherwise rules/norms our behavior are regarded as normal/abnornmal or standard/deviated or good/bad. Our actions define us. The world is full of good and bad people. Just because there are bad peoples around we don't, at least I don't, think of quitting this world to avoid them. I recognize their (bad people) existence and continue living or wish to remain within my own defined comfortable parameter.

Unless we all collectively abandon this sajha site and never comeback to it or the owner decides to yank it down to death the site (sajha) will survive. Sajha's survival is not contingent upon the contribution of Anepalikt, Krishna, Hahooguru, _BP, Suna, Biswo, NK,.....,or sparsha. If a person does not feel comfortable visiting Sajha then he/she is free to leave. We all should respect that, and I certainly do.

Would Krishna have left Sajha with same passion had Ashu, Biswo, NK,...sparsha or some other poster NOT Anepalikt been attacked the way Anepalikt was attacked? I doubt.

People come and go, ideas come and go. Expresssions are here to remain.

I also didn't like this thread "Wanted: A Hitman". It's not funny to me.

It seems MRK is behind Suna, JDV, and San with a strong determination and claims to do Bhandafor. That's fine but the way he is putting his words together to express his dissatisfaction is too aggresive, I think. I am not asking him/her to scale back the agressiveness of his/her expression but merely saying how I felt.

Like I mentioned earlier, we all are different. Let's reognize that and respect each others' thoughts and actions. RESPECT does not mean SUPPORT or ACCEPT. We are required neither to support nor condemn ideas of fellow posters against our will. We should be able to express our dissatisfaction in a decent way. I have no doubt we all know what decency is. We just need to practice what we believe in.
We also learn not to be mad with someone for not speaking Sanskrit who does not even know what in the world is Sanskrit.
