According to a friend of mine, Tony's real last name is Khanal, not Kanal. He just writes it as Kanal coz it's easier to pronounce. Of course, Khanal is a Nepali last name. I was also told that on MTV, he *DID* say that he is of Nepali origin. Some site say he was born in the UK, while others say he was born in India.
But there are people of Nepali origin living in India. He could be one of them. VS Naipaul's great grandpa came from Nepal, of course, and we all know that Naipaul=corruption of Nepal.
Does anybody know more about Tony's background??
