Alll problems *will* be solved once Nepal is partitioned into two smaller states. Diversity is the biggest problem of Nepal. Virtually all problems arise because of this idea of "us" and "them". Let's think about this:
1. We have two main ethnic groups, The indo-nepalis, and the Tibeto-Nepalis. One group is seen as "foreigners" by the other. The "foreigners" used trickery and deception to fool the indigenous population to steal their lands, and are thought to be nefariously cunning by the "natives". The "foreigners", on the other hand, think of the "natives" as lazy ignoramuses.
2. While one of the ethnic group is Buddhist, the other is Hindu. While one espouses slaughtering of cows, the other vehemently denounces this.
3. While one ethnic group sees the King as holy and divine, and the incarnation of Lord Vishnu, the other sees him as a looter, who even steals from the indigent to get richer.
Can u think of any more?
The entire Maobadi problem is based on the premise of race and ethnicity, the distinction between "us" and "them". Tell me people, how can we solve these problems without partition?????

hey BDM,
I think u don't know nothing about maoism and maoist, so its better not to talk about 'em. Man, you're a real dumb ass. This ongoing war is not about ethnicity dope, its also not about buddhism and hinduism. U should use ya freakin common sense before starting a discussion. Anyways u should read more about what maoism and maoist are before saying anything. All i wanna say is u have nothing on ya head.

whats the difference between bhuddists and hindus plus how many buddisths are in nepal? only 6 % of nepali population is buddishts while 90 % are hindus.,
go to your own mongolia and ask for a country not in our unified multi culyuralyy diversed country of nepal.
just my view . bdm you will never get a different state until ther is sun and moon.
king pritihvi narayan shah is watching us and he doesnt like the nepal being seperated . we all nepalis will die for nepal and we will never give any of our land even if there are maobadhis , india, whatever is attacking and causing chaos in nepal.
you can come in full force like maobadhis and bark but you will never geta a seperate homeland and the only country there will be out of nepal is nepal. thats all

This BDM never knows what he is talking about. His controversial remarks might be aimed at arousing people to react in different ways, but I really dont know where he is coming from and who puts all these ideas into his minds. While there is some credibility to the fact that there are some inherent disagreements between the different ethnic groups in Nepal, the root of the Maoist problems lies somewhere else. The major problems that face Nepal are linked to socio-economic differences, ignorance and the caste system. The cast system has long been outdated and in this age and time, it is outrageous to treat one cast as being higher than another.
Its evident the arguments raised by BDM are outright stupid and of a divisive nature. Buddhism does not espouse slaughtering of any animals at all. In fact, one of the reasons Nepal had existed so peacefully is the concept of peace and non-violence that Buddhism inculcates.

Why do you say just two countries? Why not 36? After all there are 36 "varnas"
in our country. You think we will be able to co exist in two measly countires?
