Now I am convinced that the death of bespectacled, amiable former editor
Narayan Bahadur Singh(?) was a blow to the literary merit of Madhupark.

It used to be the best literary magazine in Nepal, but later it started calling
itself 'Sahitya Pradhan maasik'. The recent 'mukhpristha' however shocked me.
It features a model wearing sleeveless attire and facing camera as if she is
sensually appealing someone in its 'mukhpristha' .'Mukhaprishta' used
to be related to the major article inside the magazine before. Now, as I figured
out this time, the major article is about 'ancient coins and statue found in
Devighat'.

Now, I am wondering since when Madhupark needed sensual model to sell itself!

Biswo!
Eventhough I am not a Nepali literature buff, as long as quality of literary works they publish, won't get compromised I don't see putting sensuous picture of young lady in the cove of Madhuparkr for the reason it may entice youung fools like me to venture what's inside the magazine! Let's face it.....who reads Nepali literature thiese days uless it is required in school.... ki kaso?

makuroji:

I am not talking about 'inside stuff' yet. I am talking about the time honored trend
in Madhupark. Their coverpage reflects their major article inside, and the regular
readers of Madhupark knows this. This tradition is compromised in favour of
'trend'. Now, Madhupark , it proves, is no longer a trendsetter, but a trend
follower. Literature is inherently a creative field, and it is sad that Madhupark has
given up this creativity thing.

Madhupark's literature level is declining since years. Any Madhupark lover can tell
this. I was just expressing my concern over its overall state. I hope you will
understand this.
