So true...having been there and done that, my only proposal is to amend Lie no. 7 quite radically as follows: change the word "undergraduate" with "student", assuming of course that most grad students either course-assist, serve as teaching fellows, or lead a full course of their own with the pre-requisite on the syllabus so cleverly drafted that in a class of 8, 7 enrolees end up being girls! Just write in your syllabus, "familiarity with history more relevant than advanced calculus; must know who Germaine Greer is". Yes, art imitates life :)
