Guys,

On my way to home from Subway (Metro) station yesterday, I was walking little faster to catch the bus. This white guy, in army uniform, was walking towards me. I slowed down myself to avoid the contact, but since the pathway was very crowded I couldn't do much. He came straight and bumped on me very hard as if I was the Al Queida member he was looking for. He passed me and walked away from me like he didn't even notice what had happened. I turned back and cursed him and he still pretended like he didn't hear me, but I bet he did. This incident, not a serious one though, has bothered me the whole night because racial profiling is going on here in the US after September 11. I couldn't react because it happened so quickly and I was shocked in the first place. I never imagined someone would act like that because of my look. How would you react to this kind of incident if it were you?

I would have felt exactly the same way you did. You have every right to be offended. I might have gone back to get his name off the front of his uniform so that I could make a complaint against him. Some of these guys in uniform thing they are god. The dishonor the good men who have fought for our freedom.
I think you should try now to forget the incident for your own peace of mind. Unless things like this happen to you regularly I would not give it another thought and consider it an isolated incident. That guy that did it to you may find someone further down the road who will not take his rude behavior. He will get what is coming to him. What goes around, comes around. Be at peace.
