Subject: International Executive MBA Program

I would like to tell you about a new International Executive MBA Program at the University of Akron's School of Business. The MBA can be obtained in one year and includes not only classroom instruction, but also a three-week tour of European businesses and a month's stay in London, England.

The Program is specifically designed for the international student or business executive. You must have a B.A. or its international equivalent to enter. Perhaps you also know of someone back home who would be interested. TOEFL or G-MAT scores are not necessary for initial acceptance. We have special TOEFL and GMAT classes for those who need them and will arrange for those people to take the GMAT and TOEFL after attending the program for one semester.

The IE-MBA includes all of the traditional classroom work found in an MBA. However, special emphasis is placed on strategic decision making with an international emphasis. The additional areas of emphasis are international finance, international TQM/production strategies, IS, and import/export. All of the courses are presented at The University of Akron's technologically-advanced business center by internationally acclaimed professors. The European trips to German, French, English, Scottish, Austrian, Swiss, and Italian corporations as well as USA corporate visits will feature factory tours and interviews with company CEO's and other top executives. These international experiences will greatly enhance knowledge of European and USA business practices as well as an understanding of the global economy. Traditional European and USA tourist experiences will also be enjoyed.

Akron, Ohio, is in the heart of the Midwestern industrial and business region, is 40 miles from Cleveland and less than a day's drive from Chicago, Detroit, Columbus, and other Midwestern cities. Visits to local corporations and opportunities to talk to their top executives are an integral part of the program. In addition, students will be assigned a senior business executive from the Akron area to be their mentor. The mentor will counsel them on business strategies and their international career.

The University of Akron's School of Business is nationally-renowned; indeed it is ranked number one in the USA for sales management & professional selling, in the top 25 for international business, and this program (the IE-MBA) is ranked 5th in the USA. An opportunity for an MBA from our university at the international executive level will be of great value to anyone's business career.

Because it includes two exciting European trips, USA corporate visits, two years worth or course work packed into one-year, books and supplies, as well as an internationally-famous faculty, the program will cost $40,000 for the year. Food for the year and housing in Akron are the only additional costs. The application fee is $100.00.

If you would like more information or an application, please review our web site at www.iemba.com. All of the application materials are contained in the applications section of the www.iemba.com site. However, if you wish to contact me e-mail me at rody@iemba.com or write me at:

doesn't sound v. good. i mean $40K per year for a not heard of program. i doubt they have any scholarship. it's better to study for GMAT and Toefl and go to a better school. this school probably doesn' t fall into the top 100. my first instinct is to advise against it unless u are being sponsored by a company or they are giving you generous financial aid.

for 40k/year of costs, one can finish MBA in Kellogg( rated # 2) or Depaul ( # 4)or even University of Chicago(# 3). I am not sure about this special one year programme......It looks like some scam to me.....40 k /year for something that's not heard.........I ain't buying it.
