Hello Sajha Friends, My folks back home are craving for a PC. Is there any good PC shop which provides a boxed system with guarantee? Any website link will be appreciated. I called DELL and COMPAQ here in US and they would not deliver overseas. Also, I am going back home some time soon. Is it a good idea for me to buy a PC here and take with me? Of course I will have to pay the custom at TIA right? Thanks in advance Terminator I will be back...

Take a laptop with you (or send via someone), everyone there will be impressed :-)

PC prices are dropping and dropping in Nepal (unit price: late 30k or slightly more), relative to where they were last year. And you can bargain for even better prices. If you stroll down Putali Sadak and Kamladi area, or New Road or Kings Way, you will find a number of PC vendors selling all the major (Singapore-, Malaysia-, Taiwan-made and/or Nepal-assembled) brands. A bit of comparison shopping is advised. I would NOT suggest you to go through the hassle of lugging your PC to Nepal. oohi ashu ktm, nepal

I recently bought a PC through thamel.com for my family. It was a smooth transaction. Actually I gotta pretty good deal. As for delivery confirmation, they sent me a picture of my family. I thought that was pretty cool. Contact the customer support guys at their site. They offered me off the site deal saved me few bucks. Also enquire about their guarantee service. I guess they employ local techies who also offer trouble shooting services. Hope this helps!! Good luck!!
