Who do you think is the most beautiful Miss Nepal till now. What do you think of the Miss Nepal contests. Are those contest just showcasing women skin or there is more to it than that? Are they exploitation of women or potrayal of their beauty, brains and talents?

Do give your opinions. Thanks.

Beauty is a subjective issue yet some are Universally beautiful.

I think Neeru Shrestha, who I have seen in person is extremely beautiful and thus my vote for her.

Ruby Rana(Shah) to me looks more like Jal Shah (the actress), who I am not real fond of.

eventhough I like women so very much, I never paid close attention to any of those contest. There is no way those kind of contest really look for talent on women. I'll pay more attention to beauty pagents if the organisers be honest and say " we are rich and want to have best looking women with no brain in our bed" and the participants say " we are dump bitches and we know nothing other than getting naked infornt of the rich guys who will hump us and pay us". I don't like people trying to present themselves in front of the others what thy are not. I've never seen any physics, chemistry, engineering, and medical student competing for these kind of pagents because they actually are smart and talented.

There is no mathematical equation which will precisely define what falls into the real of beauty and what falls into the ugliness. Beauty is a relative term.Individual perceptions define the criteria for these Miss Nepal and Miss world or whichever contests. They are the sick grandchildrens of sickening consumerist elites, where there must be a price tags for everything you see, you fell and you do.
But you can test someone's talents and innovative thoughts of knowledge which the beuty contests doesn't like. You can't judge a girl's real identity looking at the figure she carries or the clothes she is wearing. Beauty is in appreciation of what you have and trying to achieve what you lack.
I would rather be glad to see or even go to see if there would be contests where you judge women's intellegence and help them enhance their careers.

I agree with Aviyentaa’s thoughts on beauty. I think Beauty contests are called so because of the lack of a proper word. People who knows what is beauty knows that those beauty queens are not the most beautiful women. They are just good looking and good sounding women. Since everybody- participants, organizers and audience- know what they are presenting, selecting or watching, I think it is not an abnormal or sick activity, assuming it is not a sole cause of people’s increased wish for cosmetic surgery or things like that.

It is also to be noted that the criteria of selection of ‘beauty’ in such contests have sifted from purely physical attributes to some intelligence/wit score too in recent times. Wait for a few decades or a century, we might be using more accurate criteria and evaluation. Think of a jury watching the whole life story of contestants -The Tru(wo)men Show ?- instead of a week and selecting the most beautiful (use your imagination for criteria) of them. Sounds still sick ?
