Are there any good psychiatrists in Nepal?

You can look for one in Mind Memorex which I think is now located at Hattisar (not sure). It was previously located at the Russian Center. The founder of Mind Memorex in Nepal is BK. Shrestha, a highly qualified and experienced person in terms of psyco-therapy. Talk to him. He might be of some help.

Not sure whether Memorex has any phsychiatrists.
check out dr. mahendra nepal. he used to head the TU Teaching Hospital's (Maharajganj) Psychiatry Dept. Dr. Nava Raj Koriala, (a lot junior) was also at teaching hospital, but don't know whether he is still based in kathmandu now.
And there were some pretty good ones with United Mission to Nepal (UMN) clinics -foreign psychiatrists, if you so choose.

There's one young pshyciatrist at Medicare nepal near nandikeshar bahal, you might want to call them and see.
I sincerely hope that whoever needs to see the therapist, go see hi/her right away. Again, depression is common like fever, cold etc and ITS NOT SOMETHING TO BE ASHAMED OF.

Huri, you are so wrong to give false information to people. B.K. Shrestha is not a psychiatrists or whatever. He only talks big. Couple of my friends who were taking classes in Memorex had a very bad experience with him.

I have heard similar stories about Memorex too. But to be fair, I don't really have first-hand knowledge about its programs.

Alright for some of your friends B.K. Shrestha might have just been a big talker, but for me he really was of help. I did not intend to provide any false information. I just wrote from my experience. But if anyone has some other experience with memorex then go ahead and post that here but don't accuse me of putting up a false information. I was just trying to help fom what I understood about Memorex..
