This news is quite disappointing to all Nepalis. I think what India needs as it's north neighbour is another Pakistan like nation not a "mitra rastra" like Nepal. Indians encroach Nepali land in Jhapa KOL Report BHADRAPUR, Feb.13 - Tension has gripped border village Maheshpur in northeast of Jhapa district after some Indian nationals encroached Nepali land some 400 metres from the Indian border. The Indians were building houses on the Nepali land under the Indira Housing Project. According to Rohit Rajvanshi, Chairman of the Village Development Committee (VDC), seven Indian families had indeed started making houses inside Nepal. The portion of land falls under Nepal after Nepal-India Joint Survey Team separated the dividing line between the two countries and kept some bamboo pieces as landmark. However, the neighboring Bihar government gave Rs 20,000 each to the seven families to build houses on the land that is 400 m inside Nepal in the west and 150 in the south. Although the construction of the houses has stopped after the dispute arose over the land’s identity, local villagers fear that it is likely to resume soon. (yo)

It is really sad to learn about this yet another encroachment. If villagers(of that side) did it voluntarily, then it is not that big deal, because Bihari are really very poor citizen, and are also suffering from anarchy and caste violence in their state, which force them to seek a safe haven wherever they can get one, (and further ,in such case, the indian govt can be persuaded to take them back)but if the government(of India) encourages such incendiary encroachment, then it is unforgivable.
