I've updated my site with top 10 (best?) songs of Bacchu Kailash. I will try to put most of his songs online in the near future. I have 28/29 songs in my collection with fair sound quality. Needless to say I'm a big fan of Bacchu Kailash and I'd like to know every bit of info about him. Please jot down everything that you know about him.
I believe his full name is Bacchu Kailash Basnet and he sang most of his songs before 2018 BS, about the same time Narayan Gopal started singing. He sang ONE or TWO songs for a nepali film during early '40s.

Thank you bunch for posting Bachchu Kailash's song. I spent some time in Sankhuwasabha too. Indeed a beautiful place.

I am not sure but when I was in Nepal I heard that he had an affair with some big shot Rana guy like late Keshar Sumsher's youngest wife or something. I heard she used to be a big fan of his and he used to sing for her at her house. Chahiney...I hope you know how nepali halla golla can be..but I definitaly heard this.

hey arun valley. thanx a lot for all those songs u have on ur site. i am a regular of ur site. yes do add other songs by bachhu kailash. i am a big fan of his. actually i had once emailed u asking u about bachhu kailash and u told me that he was from bhojpur and his wife is a headmaster of some school in ktm. i wouldn't be surprised if he was having an affair with some rana wife. i mean, who would not go head over heels for a man like that. again, thanx a lot. bye..

Yeah, I heard about his affair too. It was with a big shot person. Could it be Shanti Singh? coincidently, many of his songs are written by Shanti Singh. This is just a wild guess! Anyway, Bachchu Kailash is the GREATEST singer of Nepali music industry!

SD, yes I remember your eamil. His ex-wife was principal of Bijaya Memorial High School. It could be his affair, but unfortunately he stopped singing in his peak times.

Yes, most of his songs were written by Shanti Shah (not Shingh), his ex-wife and love of his life for a long time. During his married life with SS, he did have affair with some socialite. Now he is happyly married with a young woman (of course), and has a son.

is there any way of getting hold of him? i thought he had already left this world. i did not know he was still alive. ok guys, let us all try to see if we can get his phone number or maybe he has email. wouldn't it be great to hear him sing again. maybe we can get hold of him through his ex-wife. maybe we can find info on that school and that way we can contact her and maybe eventually the great bachhu kailash. what do u guys think?

arright we will try to find Mr Bachu Kailash. I don't think its a hard thing to do. Its easy to locate people in Nepal.
