RPP Learn the lesson first, then UML now NC needs to learn this. Once NC is united there won't be problem of Mao. Mao are taking advantage of ruling party's internal conflict. What do you think about this.

The problem is not only of NC's unity....It is agreed that NC must stay together as a party but the deeper question that needs to be resolved is that of corruption....Not only should NC stay united but they must purge the party of the corrupting elements that have plagued them.....(this is what the Maoists have exploited) As long as NC, being the largest party in Nepal, is seen as being the hub of corruption that it has become to be known as, people will always look for alternatives and some in their search will turn to ultra-radical movements....However, I ask, who is going to clean the party up....given that almost all of the "netas" have been tainted by corruption.....

It really annoys me and at the same time scares me to think that there are actually people out there who think that the panchayat was better.......with people like these I wonder if we have a chance at anything........The only thing good about the panchayat..........lemme think..was...NOTHING...there was nothing good about the panchayat....It perpetuated a culture where the Royalty and any one close to them or those who KISSED their asses where benifiting while the rest of us suffered.......To those ruling elite were not worthy of dignity and they showed us NO RESPECT.........The King used to call everyone ( I don't know if that is still the case) "timi" could he not even had said "tapain"? Now what the F**K is up with that? We were the ones over which they ruled...in their minds we were there to SERVE them...NEPAL and NEPALIS were their property.....and it would have continued that way had we not said enough is enough and over thrown their rule..... NO NEPAL (AND US NEPALIS) WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER OFF UNDER THE PANCHAYAT.... Give it time people, all good things take time...in the long run democracy (people based governement) is the best way for us....

to Naya Keta: What has changed with democracy from Panchayat? Almost nothing. The Royals are still above the law- don't need to remind the deeds of Paras Shah and Deependra (this guy was still named the King even after all his deed). The power has transferred fom the handful of Panchayat to handful of party leaders. Khume, GRJ, Girija etc. are the same ugly faces who have been ruling... err... ruining our country. Panchayat lasted for 30 years and the corruption that was emininent during that period is fraction of the 12 years of so called "Democracy". My opinion is clear: We still don't have "real" democracy in Nepal. We have top party memmbers who rule our country-- who really lack nationwide public votes, and more than 50% are not even nominated. The party's have their own autocratic rule where different opinions are punished (to voice your opionion you risk kicked out of the party or have to break the party up). Democracy is the means, just like Panchayat was the means or Communism was the means, all of them are REAL good on paper. We need good honest people to make these systems work. And I truely believe that we had more competent and better people ruling during Panchayat system than now. For democracy to survive, we have to make changes- which can be achieved by our Votes and also through changes in policies to sustain it. I am all for democracy but the leadership better make changes fast. People like me are running out of patience....... hmmm....

What has changed with democracy from Panchayat? Democracy gave birth to EVIL Maoist which is the root cause of problem in NEPAL. It gave birth to Insecurity. It gave birth to racism. It gave birth to Unemployment. It gave birth to Human Rights. It gave birth to Arms. It gave birth to Killing. Remember those days there was a respect of life. A single person killed creates cahos all over the country. We don't need democracy we need peace. I am please to hear that Rakha Sharma being F@*K you army. How does it feel being F@*K. Every Dog has its day.
