Most of us have felt helpless as we watch the news of people dying in Nepal. Are we really helpless as it seems? Back in our homeland, Nepali people are killing other nepali people. If nothing is done right now, we do not know if our beloved country will even exist anymore. Will we have the freedome to walk in the streets and enjoy our beloved momos? We are uncertain at this point because we have all withdrawn from the heart of the matter. I mean what else can we do??? As buddhijiwis, we all need to think how we can save our country; save our families from the imminent suffering if things go unchecked as it is right now. We know that we can't let the fate of our family in the hands of the politicians. So what do we do? This is a question that has been haunting me for the past couple of months since the Maoist insurgencies. The reason for the maoist insurgency is said to the be the gap that exists between the rich and the poor. The only people who can make a difference and devise laws to reduce this gap are the politicians in the government but we have all seen how efficient they are in doing anything for the country. The maoists on the other hand have started killing innocent people in thier fight to overthrow the government. So the only people that suffer is the general public, who works hard to make a living to give a good life to their families. It's time that we, the general public got together to formulate a plan to save ourselves and our loved ones from the corrupted politicians and the misguided maoists. Let us brainstorm on how we can save our loved ones in Nepal from all the imminent sufferings. We have all watched this quietly for too long hoping something better will turn up. But it doesn't seem likely. The time to act is NOW. or, it might be too late.

What are your suggestions (if there is any)? Everyone knows (or says) that we need to do something, but what is this something exactly? I wish people come of with DEFINITIVE suggestions that we could discuss. I am fed up with people JUST COMPLAINING! When people just complain like this, I am afraid that the whole thing will be like a CLICHE. (sorry for being rude: but this is how I feel-- may be the my frustration with the whole affair)

uks, i am writing about the frustration that i feel, and I think if we brainstorm on what we can possibly do, maybe we'll be able to do something. Let's think of something simple that can be started right now right here. We all know how little degrees of separation is in Nepal. Everyone seems to be interconnected some way. Such as he's a friend of a cousin's sister's uncle's son's wife's brother in law's sister..... Why can't we start a campaign of understanding. A campaign of peace starting right here. The campaign of peace is about networking the essence of peace and hope. If there are 500 visitors in this site, just imagine the number of people we can get to! Hopefully we can penetrate into the villages and into the mindset of the maoists as well. Let's spread the message of peace and hope. First we need to protect our loved ones by stoping this maoist insurgence. Then we can focus on doing something about the politicians. I mean we have to do something before it's too late.

How about you all guys join the armed police force and on the other hand i will join the maobadis, let's fight till one side is defeated, and then one can accomplish it's hopes without having to deal with the other side, best thing would be to wait till this war end, till then let's not be so concerend.
