From The BBC NewsRoom

The authorities in Nepal are reported to have arrested three senior Maoist rebel leaders in the capital Kathmandu.
There has been no official confirmation, but the Maoist rebel group said that three of their central committee members had been abducted.

Meanwhile, fourteen people have been killed in clashes between the security forces and Maoist rebels in western Nepal.

Nine police officers and a civilian died in a rebel attack in Gorkha district, and four rebels were killed in separate incidents in Dang and Dadeldhura.

In a separate development, the rebels have admitted responsibility for last week's attack on two police stations in Dang, in which a hundred people were killed.
