Nepali Vidhyarthi	Posted on 18-Apr-02 04:21 AM Hi Everybody! Do any of you have any information on whether we can apply for visa in Canada or Mexico so as to renew the student visa. I know that student visa need not be renewed as long as the student maintains a full time status, has a valid I-20, and does not leave the US. But the problem is that once one leaves the US, one cannot enter the US with the expired visa. I would appreciate if you could provide me information on this. Nepali Vidhyarthi
friend	Posted on 18-Apr-02 09:47 AM I have heard of students going to El Paso and taking a cab over to the mexican side(US consulate) to get their student visas renewed. You have to have an appointment and make sure you have all of your documents. And for crying out loud please don't take any "Biguti"(the white powdered stuff from Sai Baba). Some Nepali Vidyarthis did that and got interrogated for 8 hours. They were trying to figure out whether it was cocaine or anthrax!
