People who went to the screening of Moaist documentary "Raktamya Pahad" in Boston today, please give us your reviews. At the least, I'd like to know the following: Are we supporting the Moaist Movement by attending the screening?

power_ranger, have you really watched Raktamya Pahad? It's an analysis of the root causes of the rise of Maoism in Nepal in general, and Rukum, Rolpa and Jajarkot in particular. The movie does not take the side of any particular party. The impression I got was that both the parties are to be blamed.......

Power Ranger,

Without knowing what the movie is about, how can you say that by attending the programs people who went to see the documentary support the maoist movement. Do read the reviews of the documentary and only make conclusions. If you did not come (I guess you did not) for the documentary, you missed a lot and I bet you know less of the maoist movement and the plight of people around Rolpa, Rukum and Jajarkot than we (the people who attended) do.

however, you are always welcome to make up your own story and also the conclusion.

Well, it was actually quite balanced I thought - except that the introduction tot he documentary made it seem as if it was just the Nepali Congress that was to blame - when poverty - the main cause identified by the documentary - has been existing for ages.

Well, I was not accusing the people who went for the screening of "Raktamya Pahad" of supporting the Moaist Movement. It was more of a question: Are we supporting the Moaist Movement by attending the screening? If yes (if the money you paid to watch the docu is going to the Moaist or if the docu is made from the Moaist point of view designed to influence people) then I'll not have a public screening of the documentary here (I'm not from Boston). If no, then I would like to have a screening here too. I was enquiring to see if I should have a public screening here. That's all folks. Thanks for your reviews. We're gonna have a screeing here too.
