Here is some of picture of so called maoist in Nepal.

Who make them do this ?

fren Posted on 23-Apr-02 02:29 PM

I don't think this is war of maosit leader vs our government. Our leaders have done absolutely nothing for the indigent people of Nepal. This is a war against poor against government workers who loveeeeeeeeeee free money. This is their way of asking for their rights. Now how can we solve this problem??? I don't blame the maoist whatsoever. I don't like their appraoch but let's be rational here. Imagine, they were in Kathmandu valley in front of wherever our government main office is demanding rights for these people. Do you guys seriously feel that they will be given their rights?

Don't forget that the main culprit for this violence is our government who carried out a secret mission to kill Baburam and others. Our government failed and thus we all know the result.
Goal Posted on 23-Apr-02 03:21 PM

They look so much like the palestenians(sp?). Are they terrorist ... it's all about which side of the fence you are in. You don't imagine the Maoist will send out viscious pictures of themselves do you? What if I told you that their parents were threatned!!!??
Kanchhi Posted on 23-Apr-02 04:00 PM

I don't think all of these people's parent were threatened.

I agree with fren, these people were created by our Govt., Nepali Congress and UML together.

Since 1990 till now, the NC and UML were not worried about our poor people in remote places, not worried about our country, not worried about the people even in Kathmandu. All they were worried about was there "Kursi".

Forget about Maoist, poor people. Even in current situation "state of Emergency" NC are fighting internally with each other instead of solving the problem and be united. Girija wants to be PM until his death.

Our Govt. was keep failing just because the other faction were waiting for their term to become minister and do the loot.

What do you, those poor people will be sitting and watching all the time?

At this moment NC, UML and Govt. has to stand unitedly, no political disagreement should be obstacle tofix the problem. Go to the root cause rather than just blame each others. Just by announcing terrorist and arresting and killing few hundred will not fix the problem.

NC, UML and Govt. have to strictly apply the rule and order in the country. Punish the people starting from Minister level, MP. Close and control the border right away with India. Closing the border doesn't mean that we are making angry to India. We can still have same relation with India by controlling border. This will stop all kinds of smuggling including weapon.

We need to ask for help to other countries facilitate those stuff not the military equipments.

The bottom line is killing each other will never give you the solution.

No soulution is the best solution.

Let it be.

Future will show itself.
A peace kingdom has been changed in this situation. This is moving as the law of nature.

fren Posted on 23-Apr-02 07:53 PM

So many of you seem to gloat at the fact that our nation "once used to be a peace kingdom." People were wailing inside for help and even simple people like us became indifferent and failed to see problems facing the indigent population if Nepal. Why are we all of sudden so galvnized by maobadis? I know, most of us are from Kathmandu or we are in the states. You have to be pretty affluent to come to the USA. (Yes there are some exceptions) We are worried about our parents and families sancitiy. Nothing more. Some of you might be worried about all your wealth there. We will all have to suffer for this. Some will die and some will agonize fearing to hear that dreary news. You know the proverb "what goes around comes around." And our Nepali army...bunch of morons. Just tell me one thing, how can you serve Nepali people if you feel that you are above all of them not realizing that you are working for the people?
loverboy Posted on 23-Apr-02 08:11 PM

The pictures should speak for itself...

they are young, lost frustrated youth of Nepal looking for direction. It is not a political fight..it is a fight for sustainability..it's a career that puts food on their table. To us it sounds horrific. Being in the states we criticize about their campaign, drop few tears about how we feel sorry for Nepal. But have we as a responsible citizen of Nepal, once tried to do something that would give these people same dreams and aspirations we have...??? If we haven't then we really do not have a right to say a word about their campaign!

this is not a political campaign, this is fight for one's economic freedom and this will not go away unless we all come together to uplift our economy which is in turmoil.

Folks in Kathmandu think "Kathmandu is Nepal." Few millions of citizens do not represent the entire nation. We think what is good for Kathmandu is good for the entire nation. Guess what it really isn't and look at the situation right now, and let it speak for itself.

Maoism in nepal is more of an exit of frustration than a political agenda.

I hope we will all begin to see that and find solutions that will re-define Nepal's youth.

God Bless us All!!
Shanti Posted on 23-Apr-02 10:00 PM

Loverboy is right.

fren, it's not the question of few people your parents, my parents or wealth. It's the question of millions of people's faith and on top of everything existense our country.

If we leave our country with this current fataha netas, will we have Nepal after couple years?

I don't support communism but like loverboy said it's frustration from so called prajatantra and prajatantric netas.

Shanti

It is pathetic to see how maobadis supporters blame the government to justify their action. Governement is a scape goat for you. All you maobais want is power and money. There has been many discussions in this board about the horrific actions of maobadis.

I agree that there is corruption, I agree that Nepal is poor this does not justify the maoist activity and the killing rampage that is going on. Destroying infrastructure, looting banks, killing people, who is getting hurt by these activities?? Common people like you and me. Not the maobadis or the corrupted officials. So who are you fighiting against, again??
