Walk for Hunger in on Sunday, May 5. It is the oldest and biggest event of its kind in the United States. Each year over 40, 000 people come together to help end hunger in the cities and towns. Individuals come out and enjoy the day, school groups walk with team spirit, families spend time together-everyone enjoys the Walk for Hunger. It follows route through Boston, Brookline, Newton, Watertown, and Cambridge. There are entertainment throughtout the route, free snacks and the halfway point, and the big celebration at the finish line on the Boson Common. You have to ask people to sponsor you some amount of money and on May 5th you have to walk 20 miles. Actually, you can walk as far as you like. What really counts is that you sign up sponsors and join in the Walk for Hunger. There are free buses to shuttle you back to the Boston Common finish line from each Checkpoint. I did this last year and I think it was really fun. Questions?
