A good politician in nepal? That's an oxymoron. You can't have a "good" politician. just like you can't have a good hindi movie. Joke garya hai, feri, yehan ta sab ek se ek batho manchhe chhan..
like all congress politicians before 2046, gacchedaar struggled genuinely for democracy, went to prison, suffered like a dog, lost an eye, and coming from the Tharu ethnic minority also loyal to the koiralas rose fast in the party hierarchy.
after 2048, same fate as most of their lot...corrupt and rotten as hell.
tara paradox ni hajur, he's been elected from sunsari district for 3 times in a row to the parliament. no doubt he'll win again. also he's an ELECTED central committee member of the nepali congress. changed faction and no longer a koirala hanuman, because has made enough money in the last 10 years through corruption to be a political player in his own right like khum bahadur and govinda. actually the 3 of them used to be called the KGB.
does this mean democarcy has been jhoor? no. we have provisions in the system to prosecute this man for his wrongs. legal provisions are being strengthened. civic activism/media reports are increasing. no doubt crooks will be brought to justice as our prajatantra matures. even suharto fell, fuchhe gacchedaar ko ke kura. now they feel they are invincible. sab "moot ko nyano" ho thita ho. momentarily full of pleasure, but ultimately 'ghaatak'.
so don't retort by saying raja chahiyo, sena chahiyo, panchayat nai raamro...sab uttikai bhrasta chhan: some we know about, some we don't.
kasari hunchha, maobadi atankakari hari bhutaun, shishu prajatantra lai jogaun, hurkaun, ra samunnat nepal ko nirman garaun. as PN shah would have said - yesai ma nepali jana ko kalyan hunya chha...baango baango kura garera samaya kheranafalaun. uhile TC ma bhanthe ni, make love not war.

add bonus point as well. He killed a guy named Timsina in Biratnagar campus. like anga.bhanga bhatta, he deserves courage (killings) bhatta too.

He killed Phanindra Raj Timalsina at Morang Collage infront of hundreds of students and promoted Ne. Bi. sangh to Nepali congress. Once he corrupted Nepal government's dhukuti and now became a Badka Neta, Jaya Nepal Bijay Babu!!!!

He used to be a good congressman,unfortunatel he is not anymorey.He believed in Gandhi's simple living high thinking while he was suffering, not anymore when he has mercedes and bunglaw.Favored by koirala family, he went up into the ladder of promotion and now betraying the same people who made fortune for him.He has become minister every now and then when there is congress government.
His dad used to sell Athiyaa Kera( a type of banana),Rs 2.50 a dozen in Duhabi Bazaar every thursday. His parents sent him College by working at Jamindaar's land and sold milk to kanhaiya singh jhunjhunwaala" Mithai Pasale" in ward number 4 of Buhabi Bazaar. He got married to this Dharane shrestha girl, where his luck took a lucky turn. With the blessings from Koirala family and tharu community of the eastern terai,he was the only promising Tharu Beta in the political arena of Biratnagar.
He doesn't remember now that he used to wear those slippers made of 'Tire',cost barely 5 rupees back then, and Fattyaak Fattyak garne chappal that sometimes had it's broken Loti and he used to heat glue those lotis since he always asked money from his Partner Pradip Ojha for Ganesh Bidis and Jayshree Dudhiyaa Special Tharra. He really liked this kerako rakshi made by his fellow tharunees, and told them during his campaign that he wants to promote the home made local tharra( popularly called Khoya Birke) against the Bideshi mahango daaru, according to B.P. Koirala's Open Market Policy...Samaazbaadi Bijay Babu Jindabaad, shouted the crowd.
UML People tried to woo the tharu voters, Bijay gachhedar came up with a slogan....." Daarumaa Thaaru Bikdaina"...( U can't buy tharu for liquor).
He has become one of the richest person in the country and now he can challenge the Koirala Biradri at his own right and might.He has the back up from all the smugglers, corrupt, commissioners and gundaraaj. He will win the next election again because his people think that he is the only Messiah of Tharus.All the politicians are like him in the country, so there is no question to whom the people choose the best.He has done good job in his constinuency, telephone, motor roads, electricity....lot better than what Koirala has done in his morang. His people admire him and vote for him because even by the illegal means he has tried to fulfill their demands.He has given jobs to 5000 people from his constituency and ...let's say every job holder in his family has 5 members....5* 5000= 25,000, that's the requred votes to win the election, no matter whether girija runs against him.All the unemloyed youths are behind him ready to rally for him hoping to get the jobs,people swarm in his apartment for money, jobs, promotions, contracts, everything u need in politics.....
Since all the politicians are corrupt in Nepal , I think he is one of the best among the corrupts. If Modanath Prasrit, famous and influential intellectual leader can take bribes, why not a Tharu's beta? I would rather encourage him to take bribes and do corruption because at least he is investing that money in Nepal. He has 40 trucks, 5 cinema halls and various restaurants and hotels, where people from his constituency work, employment...Good thing for a Nepali economy.
