That Malaysia defies international norms of crime and punishment is not a news.
Among the virtues of Malaysian PM is his outburst against Australia and USA,
and his providing sanctuaries to international terrorists from Al Qaida and
Bombay's underground mafia. Among the inmates in Malaysian jails is the prominent
Anwar Ibrahim, incarcerated just for having dissenting views than that of PM.
Here is a news from Malaysia that should concern us now: they are planning to
publicly whip the first time illegal immigrant. Corporal punishment seems to be norm
there! Well, with Singapore and Iran being one of their closest friends...
