PhD position available at the ETH Zurich
"Evolutionary trade-off between rate an yield of ATP production in E.
coli"
We are currently looking for a PhD student to work on an experimental
project testing for the existence of an evolutionary trade-off between
rate and yield of ATP production in E. coli (for background see,
Pfeiffer et al, Science, 2001, 292, 504-507). Candidates with some
laboratory experience in microbiology/biochemistry and a strong interest
in evolutionary biology are particularly welcome. The position is
available immediately (salary range 32000-36000 SFr per year). Review
of applications will begin in May and will continue until a suitable
candidate has been identified. The group of ecology & evolution at the
ETH Zurich comprises both a theoretical and an experimental unit. The
working language of our group is English. More information about us can
