The documentary “Killing Terraces” directed by Dhurba Basnet and based on the Maoist insurgency in Nepal has been nominated for screening at the Telluride Film Festival to be organised in Colorado , USA.
The 46 minute long video documentary has given the account of the adverse impact of Maoist violence on the general life, general administration and development in Rolpa, Rukum and Jajarkot districts of west Nepal.
Altogether 50 movies were chosen from 300 movies, which had competed for the nomination. The Film Festival is being held from May 22 to May 26. nepalnews.com am Apr 30
