I want to send gift to my mom for mother's day. Can somebody pls express their experience with all these Nepalese gift sites that are out there..should you have any..

thx.

Yes, there is a giftsite called sendyourlove.com. It includes calling your mother saying that you do care about her. And chocolates and cards are mere temptation for being even more individualistic. Give a gift from your heart not from wal mart!..Take care.

When is Mother's Day in Nepal this year, please?
Catz Posted on 02-May-02 09:52 PM

Mother's Day is On May 12 (Sunday) this year. Right now the best gift to send for your loving Mother is Flowers. In my opinion, I think the best site to send the gifts will be sajha.com, the one you are on right now Baby!!!!!

Sarcasm prevails no matter where we go.....Hello Moni!...May I buy you a coffee?
hmmm.... Posted on 04-May-02 05:40 PM

I think Thamel.com is the best gift site. Khasi to flowers...... everything is there. Well, they are very innovative, and service is quite good (could be better).

Haven't bought anything from Munchahouse or Dhukuti.com yet, but I am sure they are very good as well.

However, all of them are not cheap. They think we have $$s so they charges us 100% more than the market value. I hope more sites open and we start having price wars...

don't you think, hmmm....
Shanti Posted on 05-May-02 08:50 AM

Hmmm

Isn't it enough to advertise in one thread? Are you trying to be afai jhankri afai bokshi?

There's nothing wrong to say you're somehow trying to help promote Thamel.com. After all we all want to see more gift shop and buy nepali stuff from abroad. We miss our nepali stuff and want to send gift to our love ones in Nepal.
hmmm.... Posted on 05-May-02 09:03 AM

What is the Topic here?

-What is the best gift site for Nepal?

and I didn't start this thread.

Actually I won and run Thamel.com--- NOT!!!!!!

Now before I get feted with my spelling error, let me make adjustments:

please read 'I own' and NOT 'I won' above.

Shanti,

I just came across this and just wanted to drop my few cents. First of all thank you hmmmm for your nice comment. People like yourself help us grow and create a sustainable business that is making a difference at a micro level. So thank you for your support.

This is no self promotion. I really don't believe in giving wrong impression. So what hmmm mentioned was from his experience. We are striving to make a difference and create a sustainability for vendors in Nepal.

for instance Khasi we sold were from farmers who spread from Tibetan platue to remote hills of Ktm. Our Khasi team from thamel.com has been requested to lauch similar ventures in other developing countries.

So I hope as ex-patraite Nepalese we can support Nepal's economy even at micro-level creating opportunities. It can be through our site or any other sites from Nepal.

If Computer banaune kaam, thamel.com business ko kaam is not helping Nepal ko economy, what does Nepal ko economy mean to you.

Is it asking aid to other country is only making economy for you like most of Nepali magne leaders think?
