What's up with Tamang and Gurung? They trust others (or solty) very easily or what?

90% of prisoners are them.
Your E. Buddy Posted on 03-May-02 05:38 PM

Isn't there anything we could do? Isn't there some sort of trust/charity that looks after their release or provide them legal services?
what's new? Posted on 03-May-02 05:52 PM

Although this criminal is using a Chettri alias, I am pretty sure he is a "mongolian" Gookhey, coz they prefer going to countries like Bangkok or Hongkong. There is no excuse for his misdeeds. Let him rot in jail.
See, this is why I don't hang out with Gookhays. They all have neolithic mentality
555 Posted on 03-May-02 05:57 PM

Magar, Gurung, Rai, Limbu are the main cause of Mao. They just follow the order from Bramans & Chetree (Prachanda & BabuRam). Had they not been suported by ma-gu-ra-li there won't be any problem of Maoist in Nepal. These so called Bramans are ordering from safe state of INDIA.
Your E. Buddy Posted on 03-May-02 06:21 PM

'what's new?'. change your mentality. He/They (prisoners) haven't done anything to you . He is a brother cheated by another unscrupulous Nepalese. In my honest opinion the latter should rot not the former. It could have been anybody in the situation, you or me. Stop your racial bias!!!

Most of faces them were all "Lahure" or Gurkhale - That correct. I had dealt with few Gurkhale Lahure, So, I know their natures, they are like straight - "AKORE". Just tell them, do you want to go Lahore , "foreign country" they will jump over, they don't care family, children, parents even their own wife (wives), even they will ready to pay upto 10 lakh. I had known many Gurkhale working in abroad. They had mostly attractive tall house/building in Kathmandu, Dharan, phokara than anybody else. And they enjoy there with other girls, they don't care their own wife. So, making sympathy for them, will be fruitfull or putting water in Sand. May be few person were cheated among them, I agree, but most of them were Gurkhale. Well, I tell honestly, staying even in USA, is not easy i.e. surviving much harder like other places. Only we have freedom is, we openly can walk outside even illegal. So, many Nepalies were, having troubles in Japan, Middles East, Thai, Malasia, Indonesia, Korea, Taiwan and even like Saipan and many other places. Bottom line is, they our nepalese brother, of course. However, we can't care and pay attention for them. Fact is, many people even not able to pay attention to their own family - brother, sister, mother or children. Therefore, they must contact their relatives - cousin or famly and strengthen out their problem. This is bottom line. Monitary or donation, it can think about it if necessary, otherwise working actively to do for them will not be possible.

Sounds like you are in real trouble. How could you have gotten yourself into this situation. I think your innocence is undeniable but you should not have gotten started in the first place. God help you.
What can we do for them? Posted on 04-May-02 01:05 PM

SAD SAD SAD,

It is sad and sympathetical condition. Whatever their mistakes, I strongly demand for their extradition from the jail.

one saddening nepali
AP Posted on 04-May-02 06:23 PM

It is sad to know that some of our Nepalese people are in jails in the different countries and they are seeking our help. How we can be helpful to them?
There are so many ways to help them and it is our moral duty to help them. Ofcourse most of these comes from the straight forward communities and some of us already named them as Ekoro, sojho, lato , gentlemen and gentlewomen.
Let us not forget that Nepalese economy is contributed lot from their hard earnings
since decades, and they are the one generally who goes back to their communities,
pay their sahus's debt on them and stay within the same communities. Is not this
great?

Any way we could start rasing a fund in GBNC for them contributing some money
from the interested party, and we could request GBNC for the approval. Let us not forget that we could use the same money if one of us end up in jail overhere, who knows.

We must have some known body in the HMG/Nepal and we could request them
to find out the Government procedure to bring Nepalese prisioners back to Nepal.

As Our PM Mr. Deuba is coming to New York and DC we could raise this issue with
him too. It might help us in the future to send them back those Nepalese who are
in the US jails too. I hope some body in NY and DC will definetely volunteer to approach to Mr. PM if we request.

The bottom line is I am ready to contribute some mony to this fund, and when I make a trip to Nepal I will visit Nepalese Embassy to discuss this matter or if any
of us going to Nepal in the near future could do this job.

Please do not hesitate to make your comments and suggestions, as there is
one saying " there are two kinds of people in this world one is disabled and the other is temporary able".

that the same fund could be used if one of us in US end up
NEPALI THITTO Posted on 05-May-02 04:57 AM

It's sad but true. anything could happen to anyone in life. And let's not forget the reality of high unemployment situation in Nepal. And it's not the case of Gorkheys alone leaving family behind and working overseas. These days they include people from all societies(bahun, chettri, newars, sherpas, etc.). They all are in a situation of 'MAJBURI' when such circumstances arise. Australia, New Zealand, U.S.A, Japan or Korea, or even some European countries. It's lucky that we people get go High Priced College or Uni overseas and communicate through internet. Think about those unfortunate ones.

If we say we come from the Land of Democracy then our Government should do something to bring back those prisorners into Nepal. At least they get to serve the remaining years in own country.

THINK AGAIN!! tHIS IS REALLY A SERIOUS CASE! nEXT COULD BE YOU! WHO KNOWS!!

First of all, I do not understand why people are coming up with the racial factor! Did the person mention that we "Mongolians are suffering"? Comon People, you guys are educated and have experienced a lot of things that other youths haven't and you guys are the ones to talk about race? We all are "Nepali" and thats iT !!!
It shoud not be an issue of Gorkhali, lahure and blah blah, we are talking about our "Nepalese" people. Regardless of guiltyness/innocence, those people are suffering and we, as a society need to hear their voice. Even if they were guilty, they do not deserve what they are going thru just coz they are from the so called country of peace -"NEPAL".Why can't our government take of of those people and talk to the Thai Government? This shows the negligience that the government has been showing. All they have been doing all these years is filling up their own pockets. Seriously, What Have They Done For The Nepali People????
The maoist or whoever, I don't blame them much. There must have been no option for them except to fight. Who are the Maoists??? They are normal people like us who are less privileged who suffered all this time. What do you do when you can't trust any parties??? The Congress, CPN, RPP promises thousand of things and forgets it once the election is done. Most of us are abroad living a descet life but has anyone been to the rural areas??? I don't think we can even assess in what situation the people were living in there. We all are always cursing the Maoist but we fail to ask ourselves what led them to that situation where they have to fight within their community-with their brothers!
Although I do not support Maoist and their action but I don't blame them either. This just shows how negligient our government was towards the people. We all knew about our poor 'cheli beti's" being exported to India and elsewhere and instead of the government taking action against it, they were linked with it. Isn't that a Shame?? The differences in the wages of the Gurkha army are examples which provokes innocent people to retariate. May be they feel, its worth to die fighting that they could not achieve in their lifetime.
I just wish that our leaders had some sense and heart in them. All the money that they are spending on security could have been utilized for so many other developmental projects. Everyone seems like a dumbass to me. And hey guys, you pointed out that the Maoist leaders are all bahuuns and all the mongolian are their follower. I do not agree with that. And anyways, one person can be a fool and follow baburam but not thousands and thousands of people. They are with him because they have suffered and gone thru the pain.
I do not know the future of Mr. Prakash K.C. but I hope that someone could take the message to the concerned people( but again, it must have reported long time ago). His letter sounds like they all are regretting and suffering. Why should we nepalese be treated differently than the other inmates? What is our Government doing??? HELLO, ANYONE OUT THERE?
