Why almost every nepali song is abut "biraha". It seems to me that all these singer talk about "bochhod" ko kura...and "mayako ghau" ko kura. Are most of the singers are member of OSLA( one sided lover's association) or FOSLA ( frustrated?) . could it be beacuse people don't have chance to express their feelings to their perspective lovers(?) , girlfriends( imaginary, or just a crush)? Or nepali society too much into "biraha" music?...Just a thought. GenX...from the land of exquisite beauty.

It's an indelible character of nepalese society. Why just the songs? Just compare Reader's Digest with "Madhuparka". You will see reflections of two societies that have diverse paths. Cynicism and defeatist attitude is an integral part of Nepali society. Hence literature and art being society's mirror, we see much more "biraha" and "peedaa" in songs and stories.
