Recognizing the existence of differences among us that probably will not be solved for a long time, although it would have been nice if we were able to solve it - such as ethnic animosities and differences as perceived by reading the thread on "I thought the bahuns...", we are creating a new Usergroup called "Our Differences".
Our Differences usergroup is especially designed for Discussions such as this, that probably won't be resolved for a long long time without degenerating into petty inane remarks that do not add to the value of the discussion anymore.
This usergroup will however retain the discussion in the site, so that anyone particularly interested to continue that thread will have to access it through the "usergroup" section.
Currently none of the discussions have been designated to this "Our Differences" usergroup, but if discussions start to degenerate into racist discourses, they will be catagorized into the OUR DIFFERENCES usergroup.
In the near future, if you find a particularly involving thread loaded with racist/ethnic comments showing our differences, you may find it in this usergroup.

To use new user group for these threads is, of course, a apprciative work. I hope, in addition to racist/caste issue, some discussions related to other topics like religion, culture, language etc. when they start to follow exchange of exterme opinions, then those theads would also be categorized under "OUR DIFFERENCE" user group.
When the volume of visitors of this site expands more, You can put the USER GROUPS on the front page so that it will be easier to go(to read or search) directly on the topics of related interest and iit may not be necessary to open threads of no inerest.
Now it is just a suggestion, you can consider about it if its necessity is felt.

I think its a great idea!
Biswo without taking a negative note, I think we can also steer those discussions into what Ananta proposes. Discussions on our different dialects, views on caste system, religions and gosh, there are many many more. Would you not agree?
I don't they are sub-standard in any way. They just take a very weird turn and the worst comes out in people. And God forbid we be judged by that.
