hi, everybody!
were you as surprised as i today to see that the situation in nepal was the cover story in yahoo!'s world news section? media spotlight fades fast (the nepal story just got bumped to the number 2 spot due to a train wreck in the uk--if it bleeds, it leads), so nepalis might want to contribute to non-sajha discussions and to utilize their 15 minutes of media fame by going to yahoo and similar sites. put in your 2 rupees worth, while the "world" is watching. otherwise, we'll have to rely on christian science monitor articles that refer to "Pushpin Komal Doha" (article by Scott Baldauf---jeezz!). also, there's someone going by screenname "sagenepal" (a uconn student/alum, possibly?) who needs to be taken to task.
btw, did anyone see the "correction" of the caption of the photo of powell and deuba shaking hands (reuters, ap, i forget)? the CORRECTION (putting powell on the right, not the left--as if anyone needs help distinguishing between the two) says that deuba is "girija prasad koirala" JEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZUS!
