It's great to see San's work being appreciated all the more. My only light gripe is that this sort of grand-sounding "Citizen of the Year" title smacks of the predictable honors that they bestow to state-identified good citizens in Communist regimes, for keeping, well, the Politburo members happy :-) But then, eat, drink and be merry. oohi ashu ktm, nepal

Not to take anything away from the recognition that San received this past weekend which he well deserves, I think we should also give due credit to the "Hastis" (to borrow the word aptly used by one of the visitors in one of the earlier postings) of this board whose insightful and analytical postings played a big role in making this website popular. I was was initially attracted to this website because of these postings. Hope these postings will continue to flow in to help this board keep an edge over others. regards, JB p.s.: as far as who these hastis are, well!! I think they know who they are. Keep it up.

Dear Friends and Well Wishers, I thank each and every one of you for your kind words, and for sharing this award with me. This recognition from GBNC comes to me as a very pleasant surprise since I did not have any expectations in mind in trying to bring our community a little closer, or in being able to help when the community needed it. In fact, I am grateful to the community - both GBNC and the virtual Sajha Community - for giving me this opportunity to serve. GBNC's gesture goes a long way in recognizing the importance of a virtual community in today's information age. I would like to thank all the visitors to the site who have helped make this cyber community pulsate with their views. I deeply thank all the posters and friends who have nominated me and congratulated me and believed that I am worthy for this award. As a general member of the Greater Boston Nepali Community, I would like to thank Mr. Pralhad KC, Mr. Prasanna Dhungel and Mr. Rajesh Shrestha for their close involvement with the Nepali community in Boston. It is a pleasure for me to be nominated among such outstanding members of the community. Lastly but not the least, I would like to thank Mr. Sachit Rajbanshi, ex president of GBNC, who urged me to become the webmaster of the GBNC website nearly 2 years ago. Without his urgings, this cyber community would not have been possible! Best Wishes to everyone. Have a Great Summer!
