Some of you just post here for entertainment. But, some of us would actually like to make a difference. This arcticle I am about to post was first featured in Time in 1997, yet the content of this article still remain so true today. Wanna make a difference on the lives of fellow Nepalese? Then, do something about it rather than wasting your time talking trash in this forum. I suggest the owner of this site promote these kinds of hidden issues rather than sending me advertisements to buy his merchandise in the freaking e-mail! http://www.time.com/time/magazine/1997/int/970127/asia.nepals_lost.html Cheers, NepaliOnAMission

You have some serious problems. You think EVERYTHING else is hogwash but your posting should be nomitated for a nobel prize or something? If you take a minute to look through the postings then you'll be able to see other posting which are thoughtful and intelligent. And how are you making a different by pasting a webpage here?? I think this site IS promoting a lot of good issues and you should be appreciating it as well, instead of spreading your negative attitude.

Aother freak. A typical nepali one. Did I ask you to be cynical in your reply? Give me a favor, go through all the archives of this site and show me where someone has tried to make a difference in a life of nepali children. Instead, you will find more threads full of senseless arguments than any legit issues that concerns the lives of children of our country. I would think you would be more interested in commenting on the issue at hand- the article I submitted, yet you like to ramble on with arguments and fingerpointing. Shame on you for promoting this website rather than tackling the big issues (i.e. child prostitution in Nepal) This is what is freaking wrong with Nepalese in the US. They don't take any responsibility. They forget where they came from. They forget what their parents had to endure if you were born here. Now I will tell you what I am going to do. In fact I will give you the name of the organization that I am working with for a year now since graduating...purely on a voluntary basis. If you are really serious regarding children in Nepal, then contact me below: Siddartha Pradhan Save The Children Of Nepal 25 Shutter Street San Francisco, CA (415) 985-5688 mobile (415) 256-6525 Nepalifreak and anyone else, I look forward to hearing from you. Cheers, -Sid >You have some serious problems. You think >EVERYTHING else is hogwash but your posting >should be nomitated for a nobel prize or >something? "This is what is freaking wrong with Nepalese in the US. They don't take any responsibility. They forget where they came from. They forget what their parents had to endure if you were born here. " Dude you are so full of yourself. You talk as if you are the only person in the US who's trying to do something for the country. Your's is the type of posting that I hate reading. After all the 'mapai talk' and after saying how this site sucks, you go on to advertize your organization, on this very site! There are lot of Nepali people in the US who are doing a lot for Nepal and trying to help in every possible way. They don't have to come to a forum like this to advertise their 'big heartedness' like you have done. You are basically just praising yourself. Get a fricking life.

You moron. That is not my organization. It is affiliated with 'Save The Children' campaign initiated by the UN. Hence, it belongs to them and everything has to be approved by the members of the Board. And I am not advertising here. I am simply passing the info, so perhaps you can lend a hand. Ever thought of that? Maybe this site is full of jerks like you, and don't care to grapple the main issue, which goes for most of you anyway. No need for you to respond here as I won't visit this site any longer.

Another Nepali who is making money in the name of Children. If you care that much about Nepali children and women, your destination should be in Nepal not is some city where any Nepali have to Dream of. There are so many issues Nepal have. Maoist issues, sexual harasement issues, Human right issues, low cast people issues, citizenship issues, minoraty issues, boder issues, labor issues, education issues, city vs village issues, language issues, development issues and so on. Why don't you add this also into your money making agendas??? There are lot's of issues which this room discuss and one of that is yours. Accept accusing the forum, you should have posted information here for our information. You are also another Nepali who thinks that their own issues should have the first seat. We don't have any interest on your money making job but we all support on what the writer has discuss.

NepaliOnaMission, You talk substance - alas wihout even subtlest of style. If your intent is to make a point you have succeeded like most others posting to this forum but if your intent is to persuade then judging from the previous responses, you have not. Cheers!
