First upset of the WC 2002. Well played, Senegal! Their game strategy worked. It helps to have a 12th man on the filed, the goal post. Do you think France can get to the second round, since no one has after losing the first game of the first round? It will be interesting to watch France’s remaining matches

The world cup in the USA in 1994 ITALY lost to Ireland in the first match 1-0 and they still reached the finals with Brazil though they lost but they still made it to the finals. I personally hope tht the French dont make it to the Rof16 but I think they will. They might if they are really lucky make it to the semis but then thts it coz Argentina will kick their butts to high heaven!!! Atleast thts wht I hope.

Thanks for correcting me. Italy did make it to the final after losing the first game in USA 1994.

Argentina did make it to the final(with germany) after losing the first game(with cameroon,1-0) in Italy 1990

Yah and they both lost the finals!! Italy in 1994 and Agentina in 1990 so wht does tht tell us....?? there is no chance for FRANCE this year. They have a few things not going for them this year.
1. Their defence sucks big time.
2. They are not playing in France coz its only there where they can win. (Look at EURO 2000 and the last WC)
3. Their heads have gotten too big for their bodies to run.
Just for the record I don't have anything against the French but they thought they were the best and didn't take senegal seriously, 22 of the players in the senegal team play in the french clubs and they (french) still thought that the match would be an easy one. So if you ask me I think they got exactly what they deserved!!

france didnt win the world cup in 1998 because it was in france. the french team was good. it was actually the best. and the euro 2000 was not in france but in netherlands and belgium.
your theory sucks, man...

France had good combination of players until they reached D-area.
They did not have a player to kick ball inside the goal post. They missed
Zidane, who was good at kicking the ball inside the Goal Post. A player
told in press conference that they are good even without Zidane, but,
game is little below the claim.
