Aren't you guys sick and tired of seeing LAKERS in the NBA finals for the third time (in a row) ?? Don't you think its about time they lost the championship??

Pierce (34)
Go Lakers Posted on 03-Jun-02 11:28 AM

They did it again. its the great game that counts. No matter how many times they win.
Suman Dhakal Posted on 03-Jun-02 11:45 AM

The Kings lost but i'm proud of Mike Bibby. He helped us(the arizona wildcats) win the championship in 1997. Nice to see a fellow classmate shine so brightly in the NBA. Watch out for him next year. Also i have my other classmate with the Nets. Richard Jefferson. So i'm going with the Nets.

Arizona has sent some of the finest point guards to the NBA. Go Nets. Watch out for the wildcats next year. preseason number 1. we're going all the way. GO CATS

pp, what can i say?
l.a. lakers goin' all the way
jason kidd's gonna love this treat--
front row seats to THREE-PEAT! ! !

an here's a lil' old school sumpthin' for new jersey's head coach, former l.a. laker byron scott:

l. a. lakers fast break makers
kinds of the court shake and bake all takers
back to back is a bad-ass fact a claim that remains in tact
m-a-g-i-c see you on the court
buck has come to play his way and his way is to thwart
m-a-g-i-c magic of the buck
other teams pray for dreams
but he don't give a f*ck
penetrating the lane like a bullet train
comes the magic blood a telepathic brain
knucklehead suckers better duck
when the buck comes through like a truck
SCOTT stops pops and drops it in
on his way back gets a little skin
from the hand of a man named a. c. green
slam so hard break your t.v. screen
worthy's hot with his tomahawk
take it to the hole make your mamma talk
i hate to burst your bubble but triple double trouble
is coming to your town and he's going to make rubble
l. a. lakers fast break makers
kings of the court shake and bake all takers
back to back is a bad-ass fact a claim that remains intact
lakers are the team that i watch on the telly
'cause they got more moves
that a bowl full of jelly
the buck stops here - pops - then cheers
a roar through the forum
that deafens my ears
the one and only know if his kind
sits in a throne
not for the records that he holds
but for being bald and bold
kareem abdul jabbar
all-time great super super star
i hate to burst your bubble but triple double trouble
is coming to your town and he's going to make rubble
does anybody want some magic johnson?

lakers suck big time! hope nets win....nets all the way baby
SOBE Posted on 04-Jun-02 01:02 AM

there u go again....u guys remember??? begining of the playoffs site admin had put the poll question...who is gonna win the NBA tittle???....the obvious answer is Lakers.as long as Kobe-Shaq(dynamic-duo)remain in lakers and Phil keeps hitting on Buss's daughter there will not be any other NBA chapms but Lakers. that was one of the best game i have ever watched (game 7 west finals 02). mike bibby was phenomenal throughtout the series no question abt that. but jefferson sucks big time there suman. let's not brag abt our colleagues. now the question rises, in how many games will the lakers kick the s*** out of nets?? since they beat our guys (C's) i want lakers to sweep them out. any thoughts.be realistic ok guys. GO LAKERS. THREE-PEAT.
hope's all you got Posted on 04-Jun-02 09:14 AM

>lakers suck big time! hope nets win....nets
>all the way baby

you're right, the lakers do suck...the hope out of babus like yous. ;)

phil jackson love that zen
an tha li'l goatee on his chin
other teams' karma wearin' thin
'cause you know tha lakers are gonna WIN

don't try that hack-a-shaq
bounce right off land on yo back
the trick's played out--everybody knows
'cause shaq is makin' his free throws

(bend those knees, BIG MAN!!!)
Pierce 34 Posted on 04-Jun-02 09:58 AM

When LAKERS won their first championship it was fun to watch. Second was.... ok. But I'm sure people've had enough of watching the same team winning the championship over and over again. Its like watching the same movie over and over and over again.
I really hope they lose!!!
AI Posted on 04-Jun-02 11:16 AM

hey, i prolly hate the lakers more than anyone.. but face it chaps.. they're going to win it again.

just an interesting side note, i dont remember that many people getting pissed when the bulls won god knows how many titles.. why so now? is it coz shaq is ugly? or kobe is a jordan wannabe.. or u guys just dont like the faces of horry and fischer.. and that white kid who always stays on the bench but shouts the most..
AI Posted on 04-Jun-02 11:18 AM

oh yea, and rick fox.. man, i just hate him for no reason. (and no i dont like vanessa)..

he would make a good punching bag though.
shoot the shot Posted on 04-Jun-02 11:30 AM

ok, #34, you've made your point...twice. most folks just like to see an exciting, close game, regardless of the franchises involved. i'm for the lakers, but all i'm interested in is seeing a series as exciting as the kings-lakers had. if i had to venture a guess, i'd say you're a celtics fan dejected that "your" dynasty is no longer. by the way, it's likely that no one here was even born when the lakers (then the MILWAUKEE LAKERS) won their first two nba championships.

1950 -- defeated Rochester, first-place game
defeated Chicago, 2-0, division semifinals
defeated Fort Wayne, 2-0, division finals
defeated Anderson, 2-0, NBA Semifinals
defeated Syracuse, 4-2, NBA Finals
WON NBA CHAMPIONSHIP

1949 -- defeated Chicago, 2-0, division semifinals
defeated Rochester, 2-0, division finals
defeated Washington, 4-2, NBA Finals
WON NBA CHAMPIONSHIP

Well, well, well... Lakers are meant to be destroyed by NETS.... yup the NETS (i.e. if Lakers don't get support from refs again... and again). Refs supposed to be the 6th player of the year for Lakers. Its all driven by money, the ratings and popularity of Shaq and Kobe. But I know for sure NETS will end the Lakers' Desparate Measures...
urock Posted on 04-Jun-02 11:14 PM

vagabond i totally agree with you....referees suck big time...even i'll vote them for sixth man award..hehehehe
the ground is tilted Posted on 05-Jun-02 10:10 AM

yeah, and have you ever noticed how every court the lakers play on tilts ever so slightly in the direction favoring the lakers? and the ball is custom-built to the specs of shaq's hand? it's all rigged! and phil jackson is using his zen/jedi mind control on the officials! and chick hearn is puppet master (or is it jerry buss?) and, and, and, and, and, shaq's birth certificate is a forgery!

no wonder nepal's having such a hard time whippin' the maobadis...it's all uphill, both ways, in knee-deep snow!!! they ought to rename the capital "kathmandon't"
vagabond Posted on 05-Jun-02 11:26 AM

Does not seem like "the ground is tilted" has been paying attention to sports section these days.
urock Posted on 05-Jun-02 12:16 PM

looks like the ground is tilted's minds tilted ...why don't you go read playoff coverage completely and come back talk to us..
vague abounds Posted on 05-Jun-02 01:09 PM

>Does not seem like "the ground is tilted"

DOES seem like "vagabond" is being deliberately vague to cover his lame-ass whining. Try being a little more SPECIFIC, guy, there are lots of sports sections these days. Are you referring to the LA Times' sports section, perhaps?

GO LAKERS!!

looks like "i-roc, urock, we all RAWWWK!" 's last synapse has begun to collapse. better YOU (what's with the fake "us" shake 'n' bake?) read/watch/listen to every sports pundit whoever penned a pun and brush up on the puny "BEAT LA! BEAT LA!" mantra.

gamin' on ya, babu!
conspiracytheorywallah Posted on 05-Jun-02 01:34 PM

yeah, baby! burger king (shaq) and sprite (kobe) are gonna pay off the referees so that lakers don't lose so people who wanna "be like mike" go big (or whatever bk's version of "super size" is) on a whoppah value meal (with--what else?--a large sprite).
vagabond Posted on 05-Jun-02 10:19 PM

31537501 dude, go look at http://espn.go.com/nba/playoffs2002/s/2002/0605/1390908.html to begin with. If Nader can figure out that much, a real sports (especially basketball) fan don't need too much attention to figure things like these... Go figure...

31537501 dude, also keep your eyes and ears open when games are on. It helps to see whats going on...

figure this, like, duuuuude,

the lakers have a sixth man, sez you.

"But I know for sure NETS will end the Lakers' Desparate Measures...", sez you.

how much did that sureness cost the nets?

hieraunla, babu, hieraunla.

ever had to keep YOUR eyes and ears open while actually officiating a game? or were YOU the "sixth" man then?

follow bibby's lead and don't be a sore loser. if'n' you wanna demonstrate your "real sports fan" powers of attention, go interview the refs themselves and blow the lid off your own conspiracy theory.
