Some years back I was reseraching on this topic and I found many Nepalese having very deep blues. It is interesting that dark skinned person could have deep blues eyes, but I found that in Kathmandu.
Bahun and Chhtries have are of Aryan origin and there is lot of chances that they have blue eyes. I also have seen some, a good number of Bahun and Chhetries having blue eyes. The eyes were no less blue than European Person.
Other Caste members like Damai also may have blue eyes as they also have Aryan origin.
A good percentage of Newar has Aryan blood. Earlier high caste or ruling class Newar were from Aryan origin. So blue eyes may appear in Newar group too.
Nepalese language originates from Prakrit and it is Endoeuropean language. Blue eyes in Nepal are native and is not arising from modern Nepalese European blood mix. Nepal is a nice melting point of several races and cultures.
