Villagers leave houses for fear of flood Post Report URLABARI, June 18 People of few villages of Morang districts likely to affect by Mawa and Ratuwa rivers have moved to safe region fearing the flood in the rivers. The construction of embankment to save these villages from flood has not been initiated yet. People who could not leave the villages are also in the state of confusion, said locals. More than half a dozen Village Development Committees (VDCs) at the distance of 65 kilometres from the district headquarters Biratnagar, are likely to be affected by the rivers. .....KOL for details. ---- What happened to our DPTC? What happened to our professionals, why can't they prepare risk maps? When there are 1000s of engineers in govt. enjoying doing nothing 10-5 jobs? I feel so sad that why peoples want only chairs, but, dislike to work. It happens everywhere, in Nepal Engineer's Association to all professional societies. These socieities are supposed to initiate some works like risk map developments when govt. can not mobilize professional peoples, in developed countries, the professional societies take initiatives and develop such maps, and surely they are financially (sometime) supported, but, these societies are supposed to initiate such things for publics. But, I heard that the NEA scretary is usually engaged in attesting certificates for AMIE and MICE.... kind of exams, and these peoples ( I had met one AMIE certificate holder) get certificates by submitting some fake certificate that they worked in some consulting firms for some time (in fact never worked, he said to me) . . . . . . .. . . God bless Nepali Engineers, and unfotunately, I am one Nepali Engineer, too. That is the reason, I want to tell to Suyog, the SLC topper, not to make mistake by joining such corrupts world "in nepal civil engineer specially means = ghusyaha engineer", in fact its 99.99% true. Study something better and avoid being called as Ghusyaha. HG
