There is, to the best of my knowledge, no "source force" ko way to get this job. Trust me on that part. :-) The job is very exciting, in part, because it combines elements of (soft) venture capitalism and strategy consulting to help private sector businesses in Nepal. If you are interested in getting your hands dirty, so to speak, in figuring out how segments of private-sector operate in Nepal, this can be a well-matched job. Plus, for those with an interest in international development and private-sector businesses, this job can be a good professional fit with a long-term career/academic prospects. oohi ashu ktm, nepal

ashu sir, tapain ko brand new colleague purush ki mahila? just curious. if it's the latter, mangsir ma baaja bajhchha ki bhanera sodhya :) linga is important, you know. i remember a writer in nepal who wrote at the back of his book: name: mishra date of birth: some saal, and linga: linga-sahit (meaning, with a linga), not male or female!

From what I understand, the office is gender-neutral, where the quality and the delivery of ideas that can successfully be applied to business matter more than one's gender. Potential to do well counts and so does a demonstrated ability to deliver results while being able to juggle a variety of mandatory and strictly voluntary tasks, such as keeping cyber-Nepalis entertained with Web postings on myriad subjects :-) My first-hand experience is that well-trained and motivated Nepali professionals (men and women) can perform very well professionally, given a chance in a performance-oriented business setting. oohi ashu ktm, nepal

The original ad used the verb: "expand", as in expand the office and its areas of work. Obviously, there is too much work to be done, and additional professionals will help with the expansion and all that. :-) oohi "night owl" ashu ktm, nepal
