When will nepal participate in world cup?
After 20 year?...... after 50 year?
Now two regions are soccer powers In asia:japan,korea,china and gulf countries: saud, iran,,UAE, kuwait, oman.. What's the gap beween them and south asia? We have made good progress in cricket in later 7 years, but what about the soccer?

I think the thing we are missing is the visionaries or in simpler term dreamers. There are officials playing politics instead of the football in the khelkud parishad (or what ever office it belongs to), how can anything get better. If we have the kids playing the game from early ages, select bunch of good ones in early age, train them and feed them properly, there will definitely be talented youngsters who will make nepalese proud. It does not really seem like anybody want to put in that effort.
Another point is sports is not a big part of our culture, hence, the school system. Kids have to carry tons of books to school but they don't get to participate in competitive sports in their school terms. If we have intger school soccer competition for different levels of school, the quality of the sport will get better.
So these are the couple basic thing that can be improved if somebody is really intereseted. But more than likely, nobody cares... people have bigger problems to solve...
