From today's Nepalnews.com:
Surendra Lawoti, a photographer from Nepal has been honoured with multiple awards in the USA.
The 30-year old photographer based in Chicago has been awarded a grant worth US $ 10000 in support of his photographic endeavors by the “Art Council”.
Community Arts Assistance Programme (CAAP) of the Chicago Mayor’s office has also awarded him for his works in community photography. He was commissioned by the city of Chicago to photograph the Nepali community there, in 2000.
Lawoti is currently teaching photography at Marwen Foundation and working for the Photography Department of Columbia College.

I read about Lawatiji in Suskera, Oct, 2001. It is really nice to see him doing good. Congratulation.
