Hi everyone,

The practice of showing world-class movies in
Kathmandu has entered its seventh month.

Good news is that The Kathmandu Film Archive (a collaboration between Martin Chautari and the GAA)has just struck a
strategic alliance with Kantipur Publications to regularly publicize film screenings.

Special thanks to Prateek Pradhan, the Marketing Manager of Kantipur Publications, for his leadership in making this alliance successful.

Three upcoming movies are:

(Nominated for Oscar in 1984; Russian with English subtitles)
Wednesday, March 28

2. OCTOBER
A masterpiece by Sergei Eisenstein, one of the
world's most influential director.
Thursday, March 29

3. A LETTER FROM HEAVEN
(A tale of heartwarming relationship between an old man and a child; Chinese with English subtitles
Friday, March 30

All movies start exactly at 6:00 pm

Adwiti,

I have no idea how to find movie producers.

In my spare time, I just lead a team of 12 people
running this Kathmandu Film Archive -- a sort of
a Film Society -- that I founded last September
after I started missing the commercial and
art-house movie theaters of America :-)
