Since I started the discussion on "our national anthem" few days back, there has been lot of response. It seems that most people would like to see our national anthem changed. Some have suggested that we adopt one of the current rastryia geet as the national anthem.
How about creating our own national anthem right here in sajha.com? Let us all brainstrome and come up with words that we would like to see in our anthem. The areas that we would like to cover. and once we have that, we can fill in the gaps. We have lots of kavis who are regulars here. i'm sure they would contribute some.
What do you guys think? I think it would be intresting. And even if it doesn't become our national anthem, we will adopt it as the anthem of the sajha.com . what do you say?

let gaye sita chad gaya ram
chadte chadte ho gaya sam
sita ka kaha bas karo ram
laxman aaya bhaga ram
laxman ne kardiya pura kaam
hanuman aaya katuu phukayaa
or bhola jai shiva bhole ji
pap lagee ladaii shitii
how do you like the national anthem.kaha kaha se athe he, there is no need to brain storm dude

I would like to see tarai, pahad, himal, diversity, and flag, among others in our new national anthem.
We can pick some lines from this 8th grade song:
Tarai hera kati ramro hariyo ban hunale
Pahad here jhanai ramro gurans fulnale
Ma ta jhilke yesai ramro nepali hunale
Sagarmatha mero sir ko topi bhaidinale
I agree that the Jangi Nisan and Gaunchha geet nepali are the best options (with some modifications) available. But I would like to add my favorite rastriya geet here, which mentions chautari, mela, rodi, bhailo, and what not!

Intresting suggestion MG. Well, the site admin knows who started it. Besdies, if we do come up with an anthem, we all can take credit for it.
Arun valleyji, I like your suggestion. Incorporating tarai, pahad and himal in the anthem does sound appropriate. Now this is a start. Now we have something to work with.
Need more suggestion folks. Hahoo Guru has been quite these days. Biswo and Paschim, hoping you guys will contribue as well. And that goes for you too NK. You guys are some of the regulars here. And we need people too connect all the words and the ideas too. I can see this thing happening folks. First national anthem to be created over the internet with the contribution of people around the globe. Let us do this people.

I am weak in poetry. But I am enjoying what you guys are talking about.
I am just too prejudiced in this matter, I must say. My only choice for national anthem
is the golden piece produced by Kabibar Madhav Ghimire:" Gaauchha Gita Nepali,
Jyotiko pankha uchaali, Jaya Jaya Jaya Nepal Sundara Shaanta Bishaal..." But
I wouldn't discourage you guys from looking other options:-)
