Hi everyone, I recently moved in Philly. Does anyone know if there is any Nepalese association/community in/around philly? Where do you guys hang out in the city ? If you could name me a few good bars in the area, that would be great. Thanks.

What are you doing there? I am moving there end of this month. What are your first impressions of the city?

I am working. The city is cool, for sure. So far Market east and East Chestnut areas have rocked in terms of nice eat-outs and bars. Penss landing : awesome. Where in Philly will you be living ? do you know any Nepalese who are already there? I can't believe it's been so hard to get in touch with Nepalese in Philly. Am I missing something or there aren't many nepalese in town?

hey there, unfortunately i don't know any nepali already in philly - but i'll let u know if i hear of anyone. i'm also not sure where i'll be living - but most likely in center city. i'll be going to school there. hadn't heard very many nice things about philly - so ur positive impressions certainly come as a surprise and consolation. anyway, is there an email i can reach u at? good luck, and hope to stay in touch. One of the best things about philly, cigarettes are cheaper than that in New York. You can buy 2 packs for what Newyorkers spend on one. Enjoy.

There should be a number of nepalis in Philadelphia. Didn't Philly have a soccer team at the ANA convention?

Hi! Yes, Philly has just created its own organization, the Tri-State Nepali Community. We would be happy to invite you to our events/programs, etc. Please email at timsinas@msn.com. Take care!
