I just wanted to know what you fellows out there think about the demolition going around the Pasupati Area. Hope to see some comments....

If the area around pashupatinath is converted into a peaceful garden with good facilities for the locals then I personally would be very happy.
Also I would encourage the planners to build an ashram for the beggers & poor so that then can lead a better life and put some money donated by those who come for puja aside for them or open a special donation box.
i am hoping that after the changes the area would have a more spiritual feeling. A BIG TASK would be to clean the Bagmati. No other extravaganga will cover up the tears of our Bagmati.
But I hear that in the place of the present day historic buildings that r being demolished the planners r going to build hotels. Don't make pashupatinath a show place.. If this is true then the planners will be at the sharp end of the Trisul in the after life again and again.

The planners should make Pashupati like Devghat in Chitwan so that people would
feel sorry to spit or soil there ever again.No hotels, only elderly and helpless
people will be there in the night!!

Pasupatinath does not live and also does not need to be in the municipal area. What about taking away Pasupatinath to some remote cave where people can not survive and free the present place for people to turn it into productive purposes?
Pasupati has been put in there for so long! .....

Yohan,
how about getting rid of all those churches which have been bulit up in and around ktm and other parts of nepal. You need to get a life man. You are proving yourslef to be a typical crooked-minded christian for whom spreading his religion is the only thing that matters to him even in a forum like this.

I hope the new development around Pashupatinath with fill the place with new vigor and instill in those who have lost the way (like yohan) to find the right way of living life.
The pashupatinath area was becoming too congested and being taken for granted. In order to maintain sanctity of the place we need to constantly maintain the place and stop the people around Baudha from mixing their waste into Bagmati. Complacency had reached its height!
We now have to indemnify and defecate our holy places of worship which have been facing a consorted effort of destruction by ppl of other religions. They had been trying to make our pashupatinath ( the greatest shrine of Sanatan Dharma) into a show place and a dumping yard. However, I am glad that finally their efforts are going to fail!
