I have predicted the end of Maobad era, like many of the Sajha participants. The strong indication that this movement is going to isolation was when India retreiated its support against the maobadi activities in India. Regardless for the cause, it is encouraging to know at least they are ready for the talks but are they sincere about the proposal for talks? I doubt it. If my sources are correct, Prachanda does not have control of the guerilla group of the maobadis, in this context the proposal for talks does not make any sense. Even if the talks become sucesseful, the criminals must be tried in court for the verdict.

This link shows how little you know about US. You do not understand how this country runs. This is a free country. People are allowed to voice their opinions and beliefs. That's all it is. Your link points to nothing more.

NepaliChora I agree with your prediction , but are you aware that if there will be election and Prachanda, Baburam agrees with Makune and other communist leaders, like K.P Oli announced in ANA, and with fractured Congressi at this moment , communist party might be able to get 75 % majority in assembly. These Maobadi will try any hathganda they want to come in power.

PP, I agree with you, it is indeed a time of caution. However, if the maobadis take part in election it will bring positive change in the socio-political climate, regardless of who gets the majority. I do not mind "nakalli lal-sarkar" if they get the majority. After all it is a democracy and people get to choose their government, right?
