Does anyone know why sajha.com's clock is 1 hr 10 min slower than EST? I thought it may have something to do with the daylight savings time, but what is the account of the additonal 10 min ? Enlighten me please !

The time posted on the page is the correct time. It is 2 hours and 20 minutes different (earlier) than EST. This is the official time in NEPAL. Nepal is 20 minutes later than Indian time. There is nothing wrong with the clock. If you have traveled to NEPAL you would be aware of the time difference. Just another way in which NEPAL is different from the rest of the world.

NST is not "later" but "earlier" than IST. This is logical since Nepal is more towards the east than the main indian landmass.

To Bill: >The time posted on the page is the correct time. This line doesn't make sense to me at all. What are you comparing the Posted time with ? If you aren't comparing it with any other time, of course it is correct in itself and there is no need to make such a stupid statement. >It is 2 hours and 20 minutes different (earlier) than EST. In no way the posted time is 2 hours and 20 min earlier than EST. when a message is posted in sajha.com at 10: 30 am EST, the post shows that it is/was posted at 9:20AM ( or perhaps 9:15AM). This, clearly, doesn't have a 2 hours 20 minutes difference. It is not EARLIER either. The message is posted at a delayed time than the actual EST, so it would be lagging, not earlier. >This is the official time in NEPAL. It wasn't quite clear which time you said was the official nepal time. If you mean that the posted time is the official nepal time, you are far from being right, my friend. If a message is posted at 10 :30 am EST ( and not the posted time), the official time in Nepal would be 8 :15 pm. >Nepal is 20 minutes later than Indian time. You are already wrong there. It's 15 minutes faster and not LATER. >There is nothing wrong with the clock. Believe me, there is something wrong with the clock. What i believe is wrong with the clock is it is 10-15 minutes slower than the actual CST. >If you have traveled to NEPAL you would be aware of the time difference. It's not me but it's you who needs to travel to Nepal to be aware of the time difference. >Just another way in which NEPAL is different from the rest of the world. Nepal is certainly different than rest of the world, but this may not be a one of the best ways to be different. Not all countries have the same time!

and needless to say, the seasonal 1 hour 15 min and 2 hour 15 min( when it's day time in nepal and night time in New York or vice versa) difference between EST and NST is because of the daylight savings time applied to EST.

I follow the central standard time. The server clock shows 5 min difference than my time.
