I am looking for a good website for resources linked to travelling in Kathmandu. Mostly for a few of my foreign friends that will be going in December, please give me good ones, that have a list of current events/ hotel listing etc.

Try travelocity.com. They offer Aeroflot tickets which are pretty cheap compared to other airlines

Thanks guys,
I will definately try those, with priceline you can really shop around b/c they require bedding, and credit cards while bidding, so you cant really shop around. How about some hotel sites as well?

two approaches that have worked in the past:

1) check the travel sections (usually sunday) of the major newspapers from the coastal departure cities (e.g., LA, SF, Seattle, Boston, New York). consolidators list discounted fares there. look in particular for agencies specializing in travel to asia. once you find a good fare, call other consolidators and ask if they will beat that fare.

2) find a nepali travel agent, as agents serving their ethnic communities are used to finding good deals for their *swadeshi* clients.
