yo puru dai, your organization of 1974 concert was great. We got to relive what we had missed for so long. Sad that many ppl didn't turn up. But good things in life come in small quantities ...... last night I ordered sushi ..... they gave me only 5 ...... bichara ma motaye ..... went hungry ..... came back starving ......

Puru I commend you on your efforts in bringing the Nepali community together and I'm sure it is a lot of work to say the least but I was wondering if you could make an effort to address the crowd in Nepali when more than 50% of the crowd is comprised of us. Maybe Nepali first and then a short English summary for those of us who cannot understand Nepali would suffice. Its pretty odd coming to a Nepali function and being addressed to in English. I've attended plenty of functions where people address in their own languages first and THEN English. Thanks

Junkie ji, I think, everyone had great time that night. We are thinking about bringing them again on Sept. Please stay tuned. Sunaji, thank you for your nice words and advise. I agree with you. This is how it should be done. -PS

Puru ji, Kudos to your hard work, but I heard that there were hardly 50 people in the concert. If that is true, you guys need to think again to bring them back in September. I know you posted the message in sajha 1 or 2 days before the show, but I bet you guys didn't have enough time for other media publicity of the program. Low turn out was because of no publicity or may be interested fans already watched them perform in the convention. Now you saying you plan to bring them back. Why? I'm just concerned. If you guys are trying to fix your past error and this time, if you are confident of high turn over which benefits the 1974AD band then go for it. I would always praise such actions.

I do not see the point of having these forums at these conventions... Its just these old folks sitting on their BUTT talking out of their ASS... What good can come off that ....NOTHINg Are those things discussed in these forums ever implemented ..... NEVER I just don't see the point of all this politics talk here.... When people actually go to Nepal to do things those in POwer won't even let them fart without their permission. They want to stick to their corrupt ways. SOO WHAT"S THE POINT ??? Entertainment and gathering of the community is fine...But I think we should cut politics and forums out of these functions.... IT doesn't belong there... its pointless.

Mitra jee ..... despite being miles away, you can bet I will be there as long as it is not too late into Sept ..... It's rather welcoming to enjoy nepali song and "hoot" and "scream" ...... miss those glorious moments when emotions were raw and energy budding ...... Well to the low turn out I say .... "to one his own" ..... Puru dai: Good Luck! ..... Hope it's before Sept 13 or 14...... if not still all the best ..... But if I am there, you can bet there will be a few crazy nuts ..... nepali geet ko dhun ma nachdai karaudai ..... : ) And those who missed it last time ..... try to make it on Sept .... Dude, you need a "1974 A.D." nite ......

It is now confirmed that Deep Shrestha and 1974 A.D. will be playing at GMU (Johnson Center Dewbery Hall), Fairfax, VA on Sept. 8 at 6:00PM. This time we have arranged seperate dancing area so that many of us who are dancing would not be blocking view of the audience on the seat. Will provide more details later on the events section. Looking forward to seeing you at the concert. -Puru
