Isn't This F'king Stupid?? God Damn, these Netas!!!!! GRRRRR>>>>RRRRR... ***********************************************************************Petro-price hike Recommended KOL Report KATHMANDU, July 27 - A committee formed to review the prices of petro-products in the domestic market to discourage smuggling out of cheaper oil from Nepal to India and to contain the widening domestic oil deficit has recommended the government to immediately hike petro-prices. The committee submitted its recommendations to the Secretary at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies on Friday. The committee has recommended that the government immediately hike the prices of petroleum products to bring it to parity with prices across the border. The price of petroleum products in the Indian market is higher than that in the Nepali market. While per liter petrol, diesel and kerosene cost Rs 48.50, Rs 30.60 and Rs 22.70 respectively in the bordering Indian cities, they cost Rs 46, Rs 26.50 and Rs 17 respectively in the Nepali side. Sources revealed that the absence of Minister Purna Bahadur Khadka is likely to delay the petro-hike decision. “However, the recommendations made will be discussed early next week and a final decision will be made before Wednesday,” said the source. Petro-price hike is a politically sensitive decision. If the government sticks on grounds of reality, without considering the impact of the price hike decision on the upcoming parliamentary elections, the price hike is imminent. The government had authorised the Ministry of taking the petro-price hike decision by itself, instead of the Cabinet approval as required earlier. Ministry sources say that the price hike is possible if the ministry alone has to take the decision. (yo) ***********************************************************************
