This is a sad news for hundreds of Nepalese who lost their money in that scam. Nepali lai jasle pani thagne. Ani , Mr Poster, what do you mean by writing your name "Lapen"? You mean "Le Pen"? The racist French rightwinger? Shame on you if you are some white supremacist coming here to ridicule us.

Lapen also means "labour Officer" in the Bhutanese language. Bhutanese call all the Nepalis as labourers or coolis. In the early 90s, thousands Bhutanese Nepalis were evicted saying "Ta pahareyharu, dhakar bokera aais, ritto dhakar bokera tero Nepal Ja". Is it possible this poster is some ethnic Bhutanese person from some quarter ridiculing Nepalis for the fate of their fortune in US? Beware of the serpants!

It is very sad ... man ... I heard that of the applicants, more than 700 were Nepalis from around the US. I hope they at least get their hard earned money back.

It is not possible 'Ex-communicated".....Lapen already said that his name is just the result of backward spelling of Nepal.

It is kind of sad. The boy's intention was not that bad, but he chose the wrong word to invert. I mean what was wrong with Nepal itself? got himself in hot water.

Well our Nepali brothers and sisters should not have to worry because our so called "ANA"organization does exist. I think it is the resposibility of the ANA committee to fight for all those Nepalese who applied for greencard. Not a single person who went to DC to apply can fight because they are illegal...so it becomes ANA's responsibility to take the initiative and fight for them.

ANA is not for illegal Nepali, this organization is for damm well established Nepali People. So you guys make me laugh that ANA gonna take any initative. Anayway I feel so sorry for those nepali brothers and sisters. I wish nothing will happen to them.

and I dont want this thread to end. why ? because someone rightly brought up the fact that ANA *should* help these Nepalese who are in need of legal help right now. I (and i am sure there are many others who) desparately want ANA to take some action into helping these Nepalese in any way possible. If ANA is for anything but oranizing conventions and reconizing well-established nepalese in US, I am sure we will hear ANA involving itself into the case. Come on ANA, this is the moment of truth for you, show everyone that you are more than just worth oranizing settled- peoples showoff and rock concerts. I am with you!
