Thanks to whoever posted the link. The interview was pretty interesting. Bishwoji, if you haven't listened to it yet, its a very interesting interview of who could be the Edgar Snow [The only Western journalist who was welcomed by the CCP during the revolutionary and post revolutionary China] of Nepal. The point that Leonesto makes about a new Maoist government of 2 million people is very much true. Even in Kathmandu, you can begin to feel that there are two governments already in place in Nepal. Major publications like the Kathmandu Post have also begun reporting on the activities of both "Shree paachko sarkar" and "jana sarkar". |

Trailokyaji: Isn't madam Snow critical of present day China and she opposed the repression of Tiananmen square, and in fact she is some kind of persona non grata in China these days? Enjoyed the posting by Rajendra.CPN(Maoist)'s view about rural Nepal is ok, but they are not remedy of our problems.Specially, it is very unclear how society can prosper when it lacks the democratic exercise , and when the government is exempt from public scrutiny.Again, trying to lionize Prachanda by proposing 'Prachanda Path' is disgusting. |
