Hi all, For some months now, I have been following Mr. Anga Raj Timilsina's opinion pieces in Kantipur national daily newspaper. Though I do NOT necessarily agree with all his views, I find them informative, insightful, well-argued, well-evidenced, thought-provoking and always a delight to read. My question: who is he? I ask that question -- out of sheer curiosity anda liking for his writings. Even Kantpur's editor Yuba Raj Ghimire seems to have no idea who Mr. Timilsina is. oohi ashu ktm, nepal

Although I read Kantipur everyday (usually only the main and local news and not the opinion page), I don't seem to have heard or read anything by Mr. Timilsina. Can someone please refer me to the recent dates when his articles appeared in Kantipur? Or if he is a columnist which days his pieces appear there? Thank you. I'd like to read him.

Usually appear in (sunday) kantipur's column. I am alchhi, can not search anymore now.

Just read all these 3 pieces by Angaraj-ji. I found them informed; and he articulates his points with (admirable) confidence. His command of the nepali language also seems very good. I'll definitely look around for more of his writings. Thanks alchhi mitra for the links.

Thanks all for the info. As an idea-junkie, I am really happy to find fellow-Nepalis such as Mr. Timilsina who seem passionate and well-informed about, well, economics, politics, public policies and so on, and can talk/write about them with an evident love/concern for Nepal. Great!! On another note, though I had heard of RAND -- (recently while reading Silvia Nasar's "A beautiful mind") -- I had never heard of RAND graduate school in economics and public policies -- call it an East Coast bias, if you will. Just read the school's faculty and student bios and other stuff: very impressive. oohi ashu ktm, nepal
