i think that nepali names are beautiful, and most of them are hindu, but some are so funny and unique. The ones i know are "Buddhi", Buddha for a girl, lets see, "Muktinath", "Himal", "Bom", "Nepolina",. These names crack me up.

I've heard names like Satellite and Plastic. I think their parents wanted to give english name to their children. Trust me, I am not kidding. Howabout nuharan names, they are the hillarious...Including mine..I ain't giving that away. I've heard names like AshtaBakra( I don't know if that is for real or not), Dandavi etc.

Namaste! I am writing a story that involves a young Nepali woman from Kathmandu, who is trained as a nurse. Her father is a prominent merchant in Kathmandu. Could anybody help me with suitable given and family names for the woman and her father. P.S. I have visited Nepal a number of times, have made two treks and think it is a wonderful and beautiful country. Regards Darby
